Overview
Klipsch Rebellion – Premium Heritage Bookshelf Loudspeakers
The Original Heritage Bookshelf, Reimagined
The Klipsch Rebellion brings one of Paul W. Klipsch's earliest loudspeaker concepts into the modern Heritage Series. Inspired by the original H8 bookshelf speaker introduced in 1958, the Rebellion combines horn-loaded acoustic engineering, high-efficiency performance and American craftsmanship in a compact, furniture-grade enclosure.
Originally conceived as a center speaker between two Klipschorns in a three-channel stereo system, the H8 represented a different approach to Heritage loudspeaker design. The Rebellion revisits that concept with contemporary drivers, refined horn geometry and a rear-ported cabinet engineered for today's high-performance stereo and home theater systems.
Hand-assembled in Hope, Arkansas, with book-matched wood veneers and traditional cloth grilles, the Rebellion combines distinctive Heritage styling with the dynamic sound that has defined Klipsch for generations.
Horn-Loaded Clarity and Dynamic Performance
At the heart of the Rebellion is the K-702 high-frequency driver, mounted to a K-703 Tractrix horn incorporating Klipsch's patented Mumps technology.
The horn is engineered to control high-frequency dispersion and distribute acoustic energy efficiently throughout the listening area. Its geometry helps maintain consistent coverage, allowing the Rebellion to reproduce vocals, instruments and subtle recording details with precision.
This high-efficiency architecture also supports the effortless dynamics associated with Klipsch Heritage loudspeakers, preserving the contrast between delicate musical passages and powerful crescendos.
A New Woofer Engineered for Deep, Controlled Bass
The Rebellion introduces the K-81-EP 8-inch woofer, developed to provide substantial low-frequency performance within its compact cabinet.
A rear Tractrix-flared port promotes efficient airflow while reducing unwanted port noise. Working together, the woofer and port extend the speaker's bass capabilities without requiring the dimensions of a traditional Heritage floorstanding loudspeaker.
The result is a bookshelf speaker designed to reproduce the weight of acoustic instruments, the impact of percussion and the energy of modern recordings while maintaining the articulation required for critical listening.
Heritage Craftsmanship, Built in Hope
Every Rebellion is assembled in Hope, Arkansas, continuing the manufacturing tradition of the Klipsch Heritage Series.
The cabinet features genuine, book-matched wood veneers selected and arranged to create a coordinated grain pattern. Traditional cloth grilles, a distinctive Klipsch badge and a carefully finished input panel complete the design.
Available in American Walnut and Black Ash, the standard Rebellion offers two classic finishes that complement both traditional listening rooms and contemporary interiors.

Designed for Serious Two-Channel Listening
The Rebellion brings Heritage performance to listening spaces where a traditional Klipschorn, La Scala or Cornwall may not be practical.
Its high sensitivity makes it a versatile partner for carefully selected integrated amplifiers, tube amplifiers and high-performance separates. Whether paired with an analog turntable system or a modern high-resolution digital source, the Rebellion is designed to preserve musical dynamics and deliver an engaging stereo presentation.
For proper positioning, it is compatible with Klipsch KS-24 speaker stands, which place the loudspeakers at a suitable listening height while maintaining a coordinated appearance.
A Natural Addition to a Heritage Home Theater
Beyond dedicated stereo listening, the Rebellion can be incorporated into a Klipsch Heritage home theater system.
Its horn-loaded design and high-output capability make it suitable for premium multichannel applications, while its compact dimensions provide additional placement flexibility.
Paired with appropriate amplification, complementary Heritage loudspeakers and a high-performance subwoofer, the Rebellion can contribute to a cohesive system for both music and cinema.
