The Klipsch The Nines II combine the scale and dynamics of an 8-inch loudspeaker with integrated amplification, immersive home theater processing and high-resolution wireless streaming. Developed with Onkyo, this next-generation powered stereo system eliminates the need for a separate AV receiver while providing the connectivity and acoustic performance expected from a premium entertainment system.

Featuring 8-inch Jet Cerametallic woofers, 1-inch titanium LTS tweeters with Tractrix horns, HDMI 2.1 connectivity and Dolby Atmos playback, The Nines II are designed to serve as the centerpiece of a modern living room or dedicated stereo setup.

Built-in Dirac Live room correction, extensive streaming support and a choice of genuine wood veneer finishes complete a versatile system for music, movies, gaming and vinyl playback.

Powered by Onkyo: Advanced Home Theater Processing

At the heart of The Nines II is an electronics platform developed in collaboration with Onkyo. Its AVR-based architecture provides advanced audio decoding, signal processing and system optimization within the powered speakers themselves.

This integrated approach simplifies system design without sacrificing the features expected from contemporary home theater equipment. Connect a television, gaming console, music streamer or turntable directly to the speakers and manage playback without a separate receiver or external amplifier.

The result is a streamlined entertainment system that combines the convenience of powered speakers with the capabilities of a modern AV platform.

HDMI 2.1, Dolby Atmos and DTS:X

The Nines II feature HDMI 2.1 input and output with eARC, allowing the speakers to integrate directly with a compatible television while supporting high-bandwidth audio and video sources.

Dolby Atmos playback with virtual height channels creates an expanded sound field from the two-speaker system. DTS:X decoding and DTS Virtual:X provide additional immersive audio options for compatible movie and television content.

HDMI 2.1 passthrough also supports advanced gaming and video features, including 4K/120Hz, variable refresh rate (VRR), auto low-latency mode (ALLM), HDR10+ and Dolby Vision.

With HDMI eARC and CEC, compatible televisions can send audio to the speakers and control volume through the TV remote, reducing the number of components and remotes needed for everyday use.

Dirac Live Room Correction Included

Every listening room influences the sound of a loudspeaker. Reflections, furniture, wall placement and room dimensions can alter tonal balance and bass response, even with carefully designed equipment.

The Nines II include a Dirac Live room correction license and calibration microphone, allowing the system to measure the listening environment and apply acoustic corrections tailored to the space.

This capability is particularly useful when the speakers must be positioned around a television, placed near walls or integrated into a multipurpose living room where acoustic treatment may not be practical.

Built-In High-Resolution Music Streaming

The Nines II provide direct access to modern music streaming through an integrated network platform powered by Onkyo technology.

Support for Apple AirPlay 2, Google Cast, Spotify Connect, TIDAL Connect and Qobuz Connect makes it easy to play music from compatible phones, tablets and streaming services without adding a separate network audio player.

Dual-band Wi-Fi, Ethernet and Bluetooth 5.4 provide flexible connection options, whether the speakers are installed in a dedicated listening room or used as part of a home's everyday entertainment system.

For listeners who prefer physical media, The Nines II also accommodate external digital sources and traditional analog components.

8-Inch Jet Cerametallic Woofers and Tractrix Horns

The Nines II feature an 8-inch Jet Cerametallic woofer and a 1-inch titanium Linear Travel Suspension (LTS) vented tweeter mounted in a Tractrix horn in each speaker.

The large woofers provide substantial low-frequency capability, with a specified frequency response extending to 31Hz. Rear-firing bass-reflex ports support bass output while allowing the speakers to maintain a relatively compact cabinet.

Klipsch's horn-loaded tweeter design provides controlled high-frequency dispersion and efficient acoustic output, helping preserve detail and dynamic impact across music and movie soundtracks.

A redesigned, one-piece BMC front baffle increases rigidity and reduces unwanted resonance. Its curved edges also help improve off-axis response and create a wider, more consistent listening area.

Wired or Wireless Stereo Connectivity

The Nines II offer two options for connecting the primary and secondary speakers.

A traditional wired connection supports stereo audio at up to 24-bit/96kHz, while an optional wireless connection between the speakers supports up to 48kHz playback. This gives owners the flexibility to prioritize maximum resolution or minimize visible cabling.

Both speakers still require their respective power connections when operating wirelessly.

Connect Your Turntable, Computer and Studio Equipment

Beyond television and wireless streaming, The Nines II offer an extensive range of analog and digital inputs.

A dedicated RCA phono input with a built-in phono preamplifier allows a compatible turntable to connect directly, while a separate RCA line-level input accommodates CD players, external DACs and other traditional HiFi components.

Dual balanced XLR/¼-inch TRS combination inputs provide additional flexibility for professional audio equipment and studio applications.

USB-C audio, optical and coaxial digital inputs make it possible to integrate computers and other digital sources. A dedicated subwoofer output also allows the system to be expanded with a powered subwoofer for additional low-frequency output.

The Nines II combine modern electronics with furniture-grade cabinetry, genuine wood veneer and durable metal controls.

Walnut offers a traditional HiFi appearance, Ebony provides a darker, understated finish, and the new Red Oak option pairs light wood veneer with a white front baffle and light-gray removable grilles for a more contemporary aesthetic.

A redesigned top-mounted control panel and included backlit remote provide convenient access to volume and source selection. The Klipsch Connect Plus app adds input management, listening presets and additional sound customization.
