THX Ultra2 Certified Performance

The Klipsch KA-1000-THX is engineered to meet the demanding performance requirements of THX Ultra2 certification, delivering the power and precision needed for high-performance home theater systems.

With 500 watts of continuous power into 8 ohms or 1,000 watts of continuous power into 4 ohms, the amplifier can drive one or two compatible Klipsch KW-120-THX subwoofers.

Its high-efficiency Class D architecture delivers powerful low-frequency reproduction while maintaining excellent control and responsiveness.

The amplifier also provides impressive short-term dynamic power capabilities, allowing it to reproduce demanding cinematic bass passages with outstanding impact.

Whether you're experiencing explosive action scenes, immersive surround soundtracks, or powerful musical performances, the KA-1000-THX delivers the deep, authoritative bass that brings every moment to life.

Advanced Klipsch Subwoofer Amplification Technology

High-Efficiency Class D Amplification

The KA-1000-THX features advanced Class D amplifier technology designed to deliver exceptional power efficiency and strong low-frequency performance.

Its monoblock design provides the power required to drive compatible high-performance passive subwoofers.

1,000 Watts of Continuous Power

Delivering 1,000 watts into a 4-ohm load, the KA-1000-THX provides powerful amplification for demanding home theater applications.

The amplifier is capable of driving:

• One KW-120-THX subwoofer at an 8-ohm load

• Two KW-120-THX subwoofers connected in parallel for a combined 4-ohm load

This flexibility allows home theater enthusiasts to create powerful single- or dual-subwoofer configurations.

THX Ultra2 Certified Performance

THX Ultra2 certification demonstrates the amplifier's ability to meet demanding cinema audio performance standards.

When paired with the appropriate Klipsch THX subwoofers and a properly configured surround processor, the KA-1000-THX delivers exceptional low-frequency impact and cinematic realism.

Adjustable Low-Pass Crossover

The amplifier includes a continuously variable low-pass crossover adjustable from 40 Hz to 120 Hz in non-THX mode.

This allows precise adjustment of the subwoofer's operating range for integration with the main speakers.

For systems utilizing a compatible AV receiver or surround processor with built-in bass management, the internal crossover can be bypassed.

Variable Phase Control

A continuously adjustable phase control from 0° to 180° helps optimize subwoofer integration with the main speakers.

Proper phase adjustment can improve bass coherence and overall system performance.

Boundary Gain Compensation

The KA-1000-THX features selectable Boundary Gain Compensation to help manage excessive low-frequency reinforcement caused by room placement and acoustic boundaries.

This provides additional flexibility when integrating subwoofers into dedicated home theater environments.

Professional SpeakON® Connectivity

Two professional-grade SpeakON® NL2 speaker outputs provide secure and reliable connections to compatible Klipsch passive subwoofers.

These locking connectors help prevent accidental disconnection while maintaining dependable electrical contact.

Automatic Power Management

A selectable signal-sensing auto-on/off circuit automatically activates the amplifier when an audio signal is detected and places it into standby after a period of inactivity.

This convenient feature simplifies daily operation and system integration.

Premium Construction and Design

The KA-1000-THX features a sophisticated black-anodized aluminum front panel with machined aluminum control knobs.

Its premium construction complements high-end home theater equipment while providing convenient access to important amplifier settings.
