Its long-excursion woofer is engineered to move substantial volumes of air while maintaining precise cone control. A carefully designed lead-wire system helps minimize mechanical noise during demanding passages, allowing the driver to operate through an extended range of motion.

With 48.71 square inches of effective piston area and 127 cubic inches of effective displacement, the d110 provides substantial bass capability from a relatively small enclosure.

The driver is capable of more than 2.7 inches of peak-to-peak excursion, allowing it to reproduce demanding low-frequency content without requiring an oversized cabinet.

750-Watt Class D Amplifier

The d110's integrated Class D amplifier delivers 750 watts RMS of short-term power. Its tightly regulated switching power supply provides the drive needed to maintain control over the long-excursion woofer during demanding playback.

The combination of amplifier power, driver displacement and sealed enclosure produces an anechoic frequency response of 27–111Hz (±1.5dB), with extension to 21Hz at −10dB.

Whether reproducing the impact of a movie soundtrack or the texture of acoustic bass instruments, the d110 is designed to deliver substantial low-frequency output without sacrificing definition.

Studio-Grade Analog Signal Processing

The Dominion d110 features an adjustable analog low-pass crossover that allows its output to be matched to a wide range of main loudspeakers.

Its 24dB-per-octave Linkwitz-Riley filter operates from 25Hz to 130Hz. The filter can also be defeated when crossover management is handled by an external home theater processor.

Variable phase adjustment from 0° to 280° and switchable polarity provide additional tools for aligning the subwoofer with the main speakers. A continuously adjustable level control allows precise balancing of low-frequency output.

These controls make the d110 suitable for systems ranging from compact two-channel listening rooms to professionally designed multichannel theaters.

Flexible Stereo and Home Theater Connectivity

The d110 provides stereo RCA and speaker-level inputs, accommodating a wide range of compatible audio equipment.

Its line-level inputs connect to preamplifiers, integrated amplifiers with suitable outputs and home theater processors. Speaker-level inputs allow the subwoofer to receive a signal from compatible amplifier speaker outputs, making it particularly useful for traditional two-channel systems without dedicated subwoofer connections.

Selectable input grounding can help address ground-related noise during installation, while automatic signal-sensing power operation allows the subwoofer to activate when an audio signal is detected.

For installations where running a signal cable is difficult, the d110 also supports JL Audio's optional JLINK wireless audio system, sold separately.

The Dominion d110's sealed enclosure measures just 13.4 inches high, 12 inches wide and 15.86 inches deep.
