IsoTek’s Ultimate EVO3 Power Cable
The IsoTek EVO3 Ascension represents the highest level of IsoTek’s EVO3 power cable technology. Designed for extreme high-end audio systems, Ascension combines deep-cryogenically treated silver-plated OCC copper conductors, a sophisticated Virtual Air Dielectric, individual conductor shielding, and premium silver-plated terminations.
Engineered for systems where every detail matters, EVO3 Ascension is designed to minimize electrical interference and provide exceptionally low-resistance, high-current power delivery to reference-grade audio and AV components.
Deep-Cryogenically Treated OCC Copper
At the heart of EVO3 Ascension are three 4.0 mm² silver-plated Ohno Continuous Cast (OCC) copper conductors. OCC copper offers extremely high purity, while each conductor undergoes deep cryogenic treatment at -196°C (-320.8°F).
The conductors are arranged in parallel with a slight rotational twist, helping provide additional rejection of RFI and EMI interference.
Virtual Air Dielectric
One of Ascension’s most advanced technologies is IsoTek’s Virtual Air Dielectric (VDA) construction.
Instead of surrounding the conductor completely with conventional insulation, IsoTek minimizes contact between the conductor and dielectric material using an FEP bridge and air-filled FEP tubes. The resulting dielectric constant is approximately 1.1, extremely close to that of a vacuum.
This sophisticated construction is designed to minimize dielectric interference while maintaining mechanical stability and electrical insulation.
Individual OFC Shielding
Each conductor assembly is individually wrapped in Mylar and shielded with an Oxygen-Free Copper (OFC) braid. This extensive shielding is engineered to maximize RFI rejection and help prevent common-mode electrical noise from affecting the live and neutral conductors.
Silver-Plated Audiophile-Grade Connectors
Unlike the gold-plated connectors used on several other EVO3 cables, Ascension is terminated with IsoTek’s bespoke ultra-high-grade solid OFC connectors with pure silver-plated conductors, providing exceptional conductivity for reference-level applications.
