Overview
IsoAcoustics OREA Graphite | Audio Component Isolation Foot
The IsoAcoustics OREA Graphite is the smallest and lightest-load model in the OREA Series, designed to isolate high-fidelity audio components weighing up to 4 lbs (1.8 kg) per isolator. Its compact, low-profile construction makes it particularly useful beneath lightweight DACs, phono stages, streamers, power supplies and other sensitive audio electronics where controlling mechanical vibration can help the equipment perform in a more stable environment. IsoAcoustics
Purpose-Built HiFi Component Isolation
Unlike the GAIA Series, which threads directly into loudspeakers, OREA isolators sit underneath the component. No threaded connection or permanent modification is required.
The OREA Series is designed specifically for home audio components including amplifiers, DACs, CD players, turntables and speakers. Each model uses a different internal tuning and load capacity so the isolation system can operate effectively within its intended weight range. IsoAcoustics
Patented IsoAcoustics Isolation Technology
OREA Graphite uses IsoAcoustics' patented isolation technology to reduce parasitic vibration transmitted between the audio component and its supporting shelf, rack or platform.
The upper flange is designed to create a suction-cup-like connection with the underside of the component, while the lower flange interfaces with the supporting surface. Mechanical energy is managed within the OREA's internal core rather than being rigidly transmitted through the footer. IsoAcoustics
IsoAcoustics designed this approach to improve perceived clarity and focus while helping create a more open, three-dimensional presentation.
Compact, Low-Profile Design
OREA Graphite measures just 1.6 inches (40mm) wide and 1.1 inches (27mm) high, allowing it to fit underneath compact components without substantially increasing their installed height.
The exterior is made from machined stainless steel, giving OREA a premium appearance appropriate for high-end audio systems. IsoAcoustics
Use Three or More to Match Component Weight
Each OREA Graphite supports 4 lbs (1.8 kg).
That provides these total capacities:
| Number of Graphite Isolators | Maximum Component Weight |
|---|---|
| 3 | 12 lbs (5.4 kg) |
| 4 | 16 lbs (7.2 kg) |
| 5 | 20 lbs (9 kg) |
| 6 | 24 lbs (10.8 kg) |
IsoAcoustics recommends using at least three OREA isolators and staying within their combined rated capacity. IsoAcoustics
The layout can also accommodate uneven weight distribution. For example, a component with a heavy rear-mounted transformer could use two isolators toward the rear and one centered toward the front.
Works With or Without Factory Feet
For best performance, IsoAcoustics recommends positioning OREA directly against the chassis or base of the component whenever possible.
Existing factory feet can sometimes fit around the OREA, allowing direct chassis contact. Alternatively, OREA can be positioned beside the existing feet or underneath them when necessary. IsoAcoustics
