Overview

IsoAcoustics GAIA-TITAN Theis | Speaker Isolation Feet

The IsoAcoustics GAIA-TITAN Theis is a high-performance isolation system engineered for large floorstanding loudspeakers and subwoofers weighing up to 320 lbs (145 kg) per set of four. Designed for systems that exceed the capacity of the standard GAIA Series, Theis brings IsoAcoustics' patented speaker isolation technology to substantial high-end loudspeakers where cabinet mass, driver energy and interaction with the supporting floor become increasingly important. IsoAcoustics

Isolation Designed for Large Loudspeakers

Large loudspeakers can transfer significant mechanical energy into the floor while also receiving reflected vibration through the same mechanical connection. Conventional spikes create a rigid path between the speaker and supporting surface.

GAIA-TITAN takes a different approach. Only the lower isolator contacts the supporting surface, preventing the metal housing itself from becoming a rigid pathway for vibration. IsoAcoustics engineers the internal isolation system to provide a controlled path for mechanical energy to dissipate while maintaining the stability required by a large loudspeaker. IsoAcoustics

IsoAcoustics describes the resulting sonic benefits as greater clarity, openness and focus, with the isolation system designed to help the loudspeaker perform with less interference from structure-borne vibration.

320-Pound Weight Capacity

The GAIA-TITAN Theis supports up to 320 lbs (145 kg) per set of four, positioning it directly above the 220-lb GAIA I.

The weight rating is based on the operating range of the isolation system rather than simply how much physical weight the isolators can withstand. IsoAcoustics does not recommend exceeding the specified capacity and advises moving to the next larger GAIA model when a loudspeaker is within approximately 10% of the limit. IsoAcoustics

Directional Isolation

GAIA-TITAN Theis is directional. IsoAcoustics recommends installing the isolators with the logo facing forward toward the listening position, in line with the loudspeaker drivers. They may alternatively be rotated 180 degrees toward the rear.

Correct orientation aligns the internal isolation system with the loudspeaker's primary motive forces. IsoAcoustics

Threaded Installation

The Theis replaces the loudspeaker or subwoofer's existing threaded spikes or feet, creating a secure mechanical connection with the speaker.

Each set includes three commonly used thread adapters:

  • ½"-13
  • M8-1.25
  • M14-2.0

Additional thread sizes are available when required for specific loudspeakers. IsoAcoustics

Individual Height Adjustment

Each GAIA-TITAN isolator can be individually height-adjusted by loosening the hex lock nut against the speaker base. The included threads provide approximately ¼ inch of adjustment, useful for fine-tuning contact and stability on uneven flooring. Longer threads are also available for many applications. IsoAcoustics

Carpet Installation

GAIA-TITAN can be installed directly on solid flooring. For carpeted rooms, optional GAIA-TITAN Carpet Disks provide a stable interface through the carpet to the solid flooring beneath it.

The dedicated Theis Carpet Disks are rated for the same 320-lb capacity as the isolators. IsoAcoustics
