The IsoAcoustics GAIA II is a high-performance speaker isolation footer designed for floorstanding loudspeakers and subwoofers weighing up to 120 lbs (54 kg) per set of four. Installed in place of the speaker’s factory spikes or feet, GAIA II uses IsoAcoustics’ patented isolation technology to reduce the transfer of vibration between the loudspeaker and supporting surface while maintaining stability and alignment with the listening position. Patented IsoAcoustics Isolation Technology

Traditional spikes create a rigid mechanical connection between a loudspeaker and the floor. GAIA II takes a different approach.

Only the lower isolator makes contact with the supporting surface, preventing the metal housing from creating a direct path through which vibration can travel. IsoAcoustics designed the internal isolator to provide a controlled path for mechanical energy to dissipate while resisting lateral movement and oscillation. IsoAcoustics

According to IsoAcoustics, reducing these interactions with the supporting surface can improve perceived clarity, openness and focus while allowing the loudspeaker to perform with less interference from structure-borne vibration.

Designed for Floorstanding Speakers and Subwoofers

The GAIA II supports up to 120 lbs (54 kg) per set of four, positioning it between the larger GAIA I and smaller GAIA III.

This makes GAIA II particularly well suited to a wide range of substantial floorstanding loudspeakers and subwoofers without requiring the larger GAIA I.

IsoAcoustics recommends moving to the next larger GAIA model when the loudspeaker is within approximately 10% of the specified weight limit for optimal isolation performance. IsoAcoustics

Direct Threaded Installation

GAIA II is designed to replace the loudspeaker or subwoofer's existing threaded spikes or feet. Threading the isolators directly into the cabinet, plinth or outrigger creates a secure connection between the speaker and the upper portion of the GAIA assembly.

Each set includes adapters for three common thread sizes:

• M6-1.0
• M8-1.25
• ¼"-20

Directional Design

GAIA II isolators are directional. IsoAcoustics recommends installing them with the logo facing forward toward the listening position, in line with the speaker drivers. They may alternatively be rotated 180 degrees so the logos face the rear.

This orientation aligns the isolators with the loudspeaker's primary motive forces and is an important part of proper GAIA installation. IsoAcoustics

Once the speaker is positioned, the GAIA's lower isolator grips the supporting surface, helping maintain the speaker's placement and alignment.

For Hardwood, Tile and Carpeted Floors

GAIA II can be used directly on hard flooring surfaces. For carpeted installations, optional GAIA Carpet Disks provide a stable interface through the carpet.

Choosing Between GAIA I, GAIA II and GAIA III

The original GAIA Series is primarily selected according to the weight of the speaker or subwoofer. GAIA I supports up to 220 lbs (100 kg), GAIA II up to 120 lbs (54 kg), and GAIA III up to 70 lbs (32 kg), each per set of four. IsoAcoustics

For speakers approaching the GAIA II's maximum capacity, IsoAcoustics recommends stepping up to GAIA I rather than operating near the upper limit. This makes the speaker's actual weight an important consideration when selecting the appropriate model. IsoAcoustics
