The IsoAcoustics DELOS 1815M1 is a premium turntable isolation platform combining a 1¾-inch-thick maple butcher block with four integrated IsoAcoustics isolators. 1¾-Inch Hard Maple Butcher Block

The DELOS 1815M1 features a 1¾-inch (45mm) thick maple butcher block. Its natural light-amber appearance gives the platform a clean, refined look that pairs especially well with contemporary turntables and premium audio furniture.

IsoAcoustics selected maple for its combination of appearance, hardness and performance. The maple platform has a Janka hardness rating of 1450, making it highly resistant to scratches and dents. The butcher block is finished with a urethane-based satin coating designed to resist stains and most solvents. IsoAcoustics

Because the platform is made from individually selected and laminated pieces of natural maple, variations in color and grain make each DELOS slightly unique.

Four Integrated IsoAcoustics Isolators

Four IsoAcoustics isolators are integrated directly into the maple butcher block.

Based on technology developed for IsoAcoustics' GAIA Series, each isolator uses a multi-part construction engineered so there is no single direct mechanical path connecting the supported equipment to the surface beneath it. The isolators absorb vibration rather than allowing that energy to readily resonate through or reflect from the supporting surface. IsoAcoustics

The isolators are partially recessed and securely fastened into the butcher block, making DELOS a complete engineered isolation platform rather than simply a hardwood board resting on conventional feet.

Designed for High-Performance Turntables

A turntable cartridge is intentionally sensitive to extremely small movements. While that allows the stylus to retrieve microscopic information from a record groove, it also means unwanted vibration reaching the turntable can affect playback.

The DELOS 1815M1 is designed to reduce structure-borne vibration reaching the turntable through floors, furniture and equipment racks. By placing the complete turntable on an isolated platform, DELOS creates a stable mechanical foundation for the entire analog playback system. IsoAcoustics

65-Pound Weight Capacity

The DELOS 1815M1 supports turntables and audio components weighing up to 65 lbs (29.5kg). IsoAcoustics determines this rating according to the optimal performance range of its isolators—not simply the amount of weight the platform can physically hold. IsoAcoustics

This gives the 1815M1 a higher component capacity than the thicker 1815M2. The M2's heavier 3-inch butcher block contributes more mass to the isolation system, resulting in a 55-lb recommended component capacity.

Excellent for External-Motor Turntables

The DELOS is particularly useful with turntables employing a separate external motor. When both the turntable and motor fit within the platform's dimensions, they can remain on the same isolated surface and at the same height.

Maple or Walnut?

DELOS platforms are available in both Maple and Walnut. IsoAcoustics states that the primary difference is appearance—the two woods provide the same level of isolation performance. IsoAcoustics

The 1815M1 Maple offers a lighter amber appearance, while the corresponding 1815W1 Walnut provides a darker, richer aesthetic. This allows the platform to be selected to complement the turntable, equipment rack and listening room without changing its core isolation performance.

More Than a Turntable Platform

Although developed primarily for turntables, DELOS can also be used beneath other vibration-sensitive audio components. IsoAcoustics specifically identifies tube amplifiers as another application for the platform. IsoAcoustics
