The IsoAcoustics Aperta SUB XL extends the performance of the Aperta SUB platform to larger, heavier and more powerful subwoofers weighing up to 160 lbs (72.6 kg). With a substantially larger footprint and twice the weight capacity of the standard Aperta SUB, the XL is designed for serious high-output subwoofers used in premium HiFi and home theater systems. Its sculpted aluminum frame incorporates IsoAcoustics' patented directional isolation technology to reduce the physical transfer of low-frequency energy into the supporting surface while attenuating vibrations reflected back toward the subwoofer cabinet.

Built for Larger, More Powerful Subwoofers

The Aperta SUB XL measures 14.5 inches wide by 16 inches deep, compared with 10.5 × 11.5 inches for the standard Aperta SUB.

That larger platform allows it to accommodate substantially larger subwoofer cabinets while increasing maximum supported weight from 80 lbs to 160 lbs. IsoAcoustics

Despite its greater capacity, the XL remains only 1.5 inches (37 mm) high, preserving the low-profile design that makes the Aperta SUB Series easy to integrate into existing systems.

Reduce Structure-Borne Bass Energy

Large subwoofers can generate tremendous mechanical energy. When that energy transfers directly into a floor, it can excite the supporting structure and contribute to unwanted vibration, rattles and noise transmission.

Control Reflections Back Into the Cabinet

Isolation also works in the opposite direction.

IsoAcoustics designed the Aperta SUB XL to reduce vibrations reflected from the supporting surface back into the subwoofer enclosure. Managing these reflections is intended to reduce low-frequency smear and reveal greater bass clarity and definition. IsoAcoustics

Directional Isolation Technology

The patented IsoAcoustics isolators used in the Aperta SUB XL are directional. Their internal geometry is designed to resist off-axis movement and oscillation while maintaining alignment with the movement of the subwoofer driver. IsoAcoustics

For a front-firing subwoofer, the IsoAcoustics logo should face forward in the same direction as the driver. The stand can also be turned 180 degrees for a cleaner appearance.

For side-firing subwoofers, the stand should be rotated so the isolators align with the direction of driver movement.

Low-Profile Design

At just 1.5 inches high, Aperta SUB XL provides significant isolation capacity without placing a large platform underneath the subwoofer.

Its open-frame shape allows the stand to sit directly underneath the cabinet while avoiding interference with the existing feet on many subwoofers. In some installations, factory feet may need to be removed if they interfere with proper placement. IsoAcoustics

Ready for Carpeted Rooms

Four Carpet Disks are included with every Aperta SUB XL.

For medium- and thick-pile carpet, the disks install beneath the isolators to provide a stable interface through the carpet to the flooring below. This eliminates the need to purchase a separate carpet accessory for most installations. IsoAcoustics
