The Goldmund Telos 790 brings Goldmund’s reference amplification philosophy into a sophisticated single-chassis integrated amplifier. Designed for listeners who want exceptional performance without the complexity of separate preamplifiers and power amplifiers, the Telos 790 combines power, precision, speed, and control in an elegant and remarkably refined design.

At its core is Goldmund’s proprietary Telos® amplifier technology, operating in Class A/B and engineered around highly linear analog circuitry and ultra-wide bandwidth. The design focuses on preserving the integrity of the original signal with extremely low distortion, exceptional dynamic capability, and the transparency that has defined Goldmund amplification for decades.

A major focus of the Telos 790 is loudspeaker control. Rather than simply delivering power, the amplifier is engineered to precisely manage driver movement, particularly at low frequencies. The result is bass with greater definition and authority while maintaining clarity, speed, and tonal neutrality throughout the frequency range.

Goldmund has also redesigned the Telos 790's power supply to provide greater output capability and significantly increased energy reserves. Custom capacitor banks and an integrated power-supply board allow the amplifier to respond rapidly to demanding musical transients while maintaining stability and avoiding compression or saturation.

Precision Engineering

The Telos 790 is as much a mechanical design as an electronic one. Its chassis is constructed from precision-machined aluminum and engineered to provide electromagnetic shielding, structural rigidity, vibration management, and efficient passive cooling.

Oversized passive heatsinks and Goldmund's thermomechanical architecture distribute heat through the chassis without the need for noisy active cooling. Goldmund's proprietary Mechanical Grounding system and Conic Feet further evacuate mechanical vibration away from sensitive electronics, helping maintain the exceptionally low noise and clarity for which the company is known.

The minimalist grey enclosure uses a screw-free exterior construction developed in collaboration with specialists in aerospace-grade aluminum. Substantial panel thicknesses—including 30 mm radiator sections—serve both structural and thermal purposes while giving the Telos 790 its unmistakably substantial Goldmund appearance.

Goldmund's objective with the Telos 790 is not to create a particular sonic character, but to remove the amplifier from the listening experience as much as possible. Near-zero noise and vibration, extremely low harmonic and intermodulation distortion, exceptional dynamic range, and precise transient behavior are all directed toward the same goal: reproducing the recording without adding coloration or masking detail.

Every Telos 790 is hand-assembled in Geneva, Switzerland, with components and completed amplifiers subjected to extensive technical and listening evaluation before leaving Goldmund.
