The Goldmund Apologue Anniversary Special Edition is the modern evolution of one of the most significant loudspeakers in Goldmund history. The original Apologue debuted in 1987 as a three-way passive loudspeaker, with only 50 pairs produced. Six-Way Active Architecture

Each Apologue incorporates six individually amplified drive units: one dome super tweeter, one dome tweeter, two 7-inch midrange drivers and two 12-inch woofers. Goldmund| The Art of Sound

Each driver section receives dedicated amplification, eliminating the need for conventional external power amplifiers and passive crossover networks.

Integrated Goldmund Telos Amplification

Six channels of built-in Telos amplification power each loudspeaker.

The super tweeter and tweeter each receive 300 watts. Each of the two midrange drivers receives 300 watts, while each 12-inch woofer receives 350 watts. That provides 1,800 watts of integrated amplification per speaker and 3,600 watts per stereo pair. Goldmund| The Art of Sound

Goldmund DSP and Time Alignment

The Apologue Anniversary incorporates Goldmund DSP technology with correction in both amplitude and phase. Goldmund also applies its time-response correction technology to address the timing relationships between the individual drivers. Goldmund| The Art of Sound

This active architecture allows amplification, crossover behavior, driver response and timing to be engineered as a complete loudspeaker system.

24 Hz to 30 kHz Driver Coverage

The dual 12-inch woofers extend to 24 Hz at -6 dB, while the dedicated super tweeter reaches 30 kHz at -6 dB.

Separate driver sections cover bass, midrange, treble and ultrasonic frequencies, allowing each transducer to operate within a tightly defined frequency range. Goldmund| The Art of Sound

Wireless or S/PDIF Digital Input

The Apologue Anniversary accepts both a digital S/PDIF input and wireless audio input.

An Iconic Goldmund Design

At 72.8 inches tall, 47.2 inches deep and 33.5 inches wide, each Apologue is an architectural object as much as a loudspeaker.
