Gauder Akustik DARC 60 MK II
The DARC Experience, Beautifully Proportioned.
The Gauder Akustik DARC 60 MK II is the smallest floorstanding model in the DARC collection, bringing the series’ advanced cabinet construction and crossover engineering to a slender, elegant loudspeaker.
Its 2.5-way design employs two bass/midrange drivers with distinct responsibilities. Both contribute to bass reproduction, but the lower driver rolls off steeply above approximately 120 Hz, leaving the upper driver to reproduce the midrange. The tweeter takes over above approximately 3,400 Hz.
The lower driver operates in a tuned, high-pass-filtered bass-reflex chamber, while the upper driver occupies a separate sealed enclosure. This arrangement is intended to deliver extended bass without allowing the reflex system to introduce unwanted coloration into the midrange.
The DARC 60 MK II also incorporates a solid aluminum ribbed cabinet, symmetrical crossover, Time Delay Control, and nine-way room-acoustic adjustment.
A standard beryllium tweeter can be upgraded to diamond, making the DARC 60 MK II a flexible foundation for a serious two-channel system.
