Gauder Akustik DARC 40 MK II

The Gauder Akustik DARC 40 MK II brings the engineering philosophy of the DARC series into a compact, two-way reference monitor.
Its enclosure is constructed from solid aluminum ribs separated by damping elements. This distinctive architecture is designed to reduce cabinet vibration and the unwanted sound radiation that can obscure musical detail.
Inside, a hand-selected XPulse sandwich bass/midrange driver works with a lightweight beryllium tweeter. An optional diamond tweeter provides an upgrade path without requiring crossover conversion.
Despite its compact dimensions, the DARC 40 MK II incorporates Gauder Akustik’s high-pass filtering and variable bass-extension technology to achieve deeper low-frequency reproduction than its enclosure size might suggest.
A symmetrical crossover featuring Mundorf components, steep 60 dB/octave filtering, and Time Delay Control coordinates the drivers for precise impulse reproduction.
