Its inspiration comes from Bach's Goldberg Variations, a work Franco Serblin describes as complex yet perfect.

Designed Like a Musical Instrument

Franco Serblin approaches a loudspeaker much like a musical instrument.

The drivers, crossover, cabinet, materials, and support aren't treated as independent components. They are voiced and tuned together, with the goal of allowing the speaker itself to disappear and leave behind the scale, detail, and emotion of the musical performance.

Two-Way Specular Design

The Accordo Goldberg uses a two-way, mirror-image configuration built around two carefully selected drivers.

High frequencies are handled by a 29mm silk-dome tweeter designed by Ragnar Lian, one of the most respected transducer designers in high-end audio.

Bass and midrange frequencies are reproduced by a larger 180mm microsphere-cone driver with an aluminum dust cap.

This larger driver distinguishes the Goldberg from the original Accordo and gives the speaker the ability to deliver greater scale and low-frequency presence while maintaining the simplicity and coherence of a two-way design.

Handcrafted Solid-Wood Cabinet

Like other Franco Serblin loudspeakers, the enclosure is a major part of the design.

Accordo Goldberg uses a super-rigid, arch-shaped solid-wood cabinet, handcrafted by master artisans.

Aluminum-magnesium components are used to decouple the structure and help control unwanted resonance.

The result is a speaker that looks unmistakably Italian—beautiful enough to become part of the room while still serving an acoustic purpose.

Phase-Coherent Crossover

The crossover uses carefully selected premium components and a phase-coherent design developed to preserve soundstage, focus, and image depth.

Rather than drawing attention to the individual tweeter or woofer, the goal is for the two drivers to behave as one.
