40mm Aluminum/Magnesium M-Shaped Driver

Clear uses a proprietary 40mm Aluminum/Magnesium M-shaped dome with a copper voice coil.

The combination is engineered for low moving mass, high rigidity and controlled damping, allowing a single full-range driver to reproduce frequencies from 5 Hz to 28 kHz. Focal Brand Portal

Fully Open-Back Architecture

The circum-aural open-back design minimizes the acoustic loading around the driver.

Focal pairs this architecture with highly perforated microfiber ear cushions to maintain an open acoustic path around the ear and create a spacious presentation intended to approach the experience of listening to high-fidelity loudspeakers. Focal Brand Portal

55-Ohm Impedance

With a nominal impedance of 55 ohms and sensitivity of 104 dB SPL / 1 mW at 1 kHz, Clear can be driven by dedicated headphone amplifiers as well as suitably capable portable high-resolution audio players. Focal Brand Portal

Built for Long Listening Sessions

The ear cushions use 20mm memory foam covered in perforated microfiber, while the headband combines leather and perforated microfiber.

Solid aluminum yokes are shaped to follow the contours of the listener's head, balancing the 450-gram headphone across the headband and ear cushions. Focal Brand Portal

Balanced and Unbalanced Connectivity

Clear was supplied with three detachable cables for both stationary and portable systems: a 3-meter 4-pin XLR balanced cable, 3-meter 1/4-inch TRS cable and 1.2-meter 1/8-inch TRS cable.

A 1/8-inch to 1/4-inch adapter and hard-shell carrying case were also included. Focal Brand Portal
