Focal 300 ICW4 In-Wall / In-Ceiling Speaker

The Focal 300 ICW4 brings real Focal sound into a compact architectural speaker that virtually disappears into the room.

Designed for both in-wall and in-ceiling installation, the 300 ICW4 is the smallest speaker in Focal's 300 Series and is an excellent choice for whole-home audio, dedicated listening spaces, surround channels, and Dolby Atmos systems where performance matters but visible speakers don't fit the design of the room.

It combines a 4-inch Flax mid/bass driver with Focal's aluminum/magnesium inverted-dome tweeter, giving you many of the same technologies found in Focal's traditional loudspeakers in a discreet architectural design.

Focal Flax Technology

At the heart of the 300 ICW4 is Focal's 4-inch Flax mid/bass driver.

Focal's patented Flax cone uses high-quality French flax fiber sandwiched between two thin layers of fiberglass.

The goal is to create a driver that's lightweight for dynamics, rigid enough for control, and naturally damped to minimize unwanted coloration.

It's the same fundamental Flax technology that has become one of Focal's signatures across its high-fidelity loudspeaker ranges.

Aluminum/Magnesium Inverted-Dome Tweeter

High frequencies are handled by Focal's aluminum/magnesium inverted-dome tweeter.

The inverted-dome architecture is a longstanding Focal design, developed to provide excellent dispersion while keeping the moving assembly extremely light.

Aluminum provides rigidity while magnesium adds damping, helping the 300 ICW4 produce detailed, refined high frequencies without becoming harsh or aggressive.

Perfect for Dolby Atmos

The compact dimensions of the 300 ICW4 make it particularly useful for Dolby Atmos installations.

Installed overhead, it can provide the height information that creates the vertical dimension of an immersive soundtrack.

That makes it a great solution when we're building a theater around traditional Focal floorstanding or bookshelf speakers and want the architectural Atmos channels to maintain the same general Focal character.

It can also be used for surround channels when keeping speakers off the walls is important to the room design.

The 300 ICW4 gives us another option for spaces where the architecture and interior design need to remain clean.

We can install them throughout kitchens, bedrooms, offices, hallways, living areas, game rooms, and other spaces to create a high-quality whole-home audio system without filling the house with visible speakers.

Combine them with proper amplification, streaming, networking, and Control4 and the audio becomes part of the home rather than something added afterward.

Focal EQI Easy Quick Install

Focal designed the 300 Series with professional installation in mind.

The EQI — Easy Quick Install — system allows the speaker to be installed by hand without traditional screws or installation tools.

That simplifies installation while still providing a secure fit.

Focal includes both round and square magnetic grilles, allowing us to choose the appearance that works best with the architecture of the room.

The grilles are also paintable, making it possible to match them to the surrounding ceiling or wall.

Focal + Naim Custom Integration

This is another area where being a Focal Powered by Naim store makes sense.

Focal specifically recommends its architectural speakers with Naim's custom-installation electronics, including the CI-Uniti 102 streaming amplifier and CI-NAP 108 multi-channel power amplifier.
