Focal 100 IC6ST 2-Way Stereo In-Ceiling Speaker

Single-Speaker Stereo • 6.5" Dual Voice-Coil Polyglass Driver • Dual Inverted-Dome Tweeters • 89 dB Sensitivity • 3-Position Treble Adjustment

The Focal 100 IC6ST is a 2-way stereo in-ceiling speaker designed to reproduce both left and right channels from a single speaker location. A 6.5-inch dual voice-coil Polyglass driver and dual tweeters make it ideal for bedrooms, kitchens, hallways, bathrooms and other spaces where installing a conventional stereo pair is impractical. Focal

Unlike the standard 100 ICW6, the IC6ST is specifically engineered for single-speaker stereo applications, making it a useful architectural solution for smaller rooms and distributed whole-home audio systems.

Single-Speaker Stereo

The 100 IC6ST reproduces both stereo channels from one ceiling location. Its dual voice-coil mid-bass driver works with two tweeters to preserve stereo information without requiring separate left and right speakers.

This is particularly valuable in rooms with limited ceiling space or where speaker symmetry is difficult to achieve. Focal

6.5" Dual Voice-Coil Polyglass Driver

A 6.5-inch Polyglass dual voice-coil mid-bass driver handles both channels.

Focal's Polyglass technology applies fine glass microbeads to a cellulose-pulp cone, combining the damping characteristics of paper with increased rigidity. The design provides a 60 Hz to 23 kHz frequency response, with low-frequency extension to 48 Hz at -6 dB. Focal

Dual Inverted-Dome Tweeters

The IC6ST incorporates two compact directional tweeters to reproduce the left and right high-frequency channels.

Focal's inverted-dome architecture is designed for wide dispersion and low directivity, helping create more even coverage when listening away from the speaker's central axis. Focal

3-Position Treble Adjustment

A three-position treble equalizer allows the high-frequency response to be adjusted for room acoustics and speaker placement.

This gives the installer additional control when the IC6ST is positioned near reflective surfaces or used in rooms with different acoustic characteristics. Focal

Moisture-Resistant Construction

Focal's tropicalization process makes the 100 IC6ST suitable for appropriate humid residential environments such as bathrooms.

That makes it especially useful for whole-home systems where consistent Focal architectural speakers are required across kitchens, bedrooms, bathrooms and living areas. Focal

Easy Architectural Installation

The IC6ST uses robust mounting brackets and a ready-to-paint magnetic grille for clean integration into the ceiling.

With only 3.56 inches of mounting depth, it can be installed in ceiling material from 8 mm to 40 mm thick. Focal

Technical Specifications

Focal specifies 89 dB sensitivity, 8-ohm nominal impedance, 6.7-ohm minimum impedance and 25 to 100 watts recommended amplifier power. Focal

Ideal for Whole-Home Audio

The 100 IC6ST is particularly useful when a full stereo pair does not make sense. A single speaker can provide stereo playback in bedrooms, bathrooms, kitchens, hallways and other compact zones, while larger rooms can use conventional Focal architectural speaker pairs.

For systems requiring additional low-frequency performance, Focal recommends the 100 IWSUB8. Focal also identifies the Naim CI-Uniti 102 and CI-NAP 108 as complementary electronics for its architectural systems. Focal
