Flagship DAC Architecture

The DMP-A8 Master Gen 2 separates digital processing and D/A conversion between two specialized AKM devices. The AK4191EQ handles digital processing while the AK4499EXEQ performs D/A conversion, helping preserve detail, separation, and natural musical texture throughout the signal path.

With support for DSD512, PCM 768kHz/32-bit, FLAC, WAV, APE, and other high-resolution formats, the DMP-A8 Master Gen 2 is built for demanding digital libraries and lossless streaming.

Master Edition Precision Clock System

One of the defining upgrades of the Master Gen 2 is its enhanced clock architecture. It adds an OCXO-based precision clock system along with support for a 10MHz adaptive external master clock input, making it particularly well suited to sophisticated reference digital systems.

Fully Balanced Analog Preamplifier

evotune™ PRO Room Correction

Integrated evotune PRO provides sophisticated room optimization using DRC-based modeling and FIR filtering.

The system evaluates frequency, timing, and spatial behavior within the listening environment, then generates a correction filter tailored to the room. Measurements can be taken using a compatible USB measurement microphone or a smartphone microphone.

A 20-band parametric EQ adds further tuning capability, with adjustment of frequency, gain, and Q plus support for FIR filter importing, loudness control, and dynamic-range processing.

Up to 16× Audio Upsampling

The DMP-A8 Master Gen 2 supports up to 16× audio upsampling, allowing compatible digital content to be processed at higher sample rates before conversion.

This gives advanced listeners additional control over how digital audio is processed and reproduced.

High-Resolution Streaming
