The Eversolo DMP-A6 Gen 2 is a versatile high-fidelity music streamer, DAC, and digital preamplifier designed to serve as the centerpiece of a modern Hi-Fi system. Building on the popular original DMP-A6, the Gen 2 introduces an upgraded ultra-low-noise linear power supply, HDMI ARC, 12V trigger output, Wake-on-LAN, and enhanced system integration while retaining Eversolo’s intuitive 6-inch touchscreen interface.

At its core are dual ESS ES9038Q2M DAC chips, with independent processing for the left and right channels, paired with a fully balanced audio architecture and XMOS XU316 USB interface. The DMP-A6 Gen 2 supports high-resolution playback up to DSD512 and PCM 768kHz/32-bit, making it an exceptionally capable digital source for both dedicated two-channel systems and sophisticated AV installations.

Dual ES9038Q2M DAC Architecture

The DMP-A6 Gen 2 uses two ESS ES9038Q2M DAC chips, allowing the left and right channels to be processed independently.

Combined with a fully balanced circuit architecture from decoding through analog output, this design delivers excellent dynamic range, low distortion, precise imaging, and detailed musical reproduction. Both balanced XLR and unbalanced RCA preamp outputs are provided for easy integration with power amplifiers, integrated amplifiers, or active loudspeakers.

Ultra-Low-Noise Linear Power Supply

One of the significant upgrades to the Gen 2 is its new linear power supply.

Eversolo specifies power-supply noise below 40μV, providing the sensitive digital and analog circuitry with a cleaner and more stable source of power. The goal is lower interference and improved overall audio performance.

A large 6-inch LCD touchscreen provides direct access to playback controls, album artwork, system settings, music browsing, VU meters, and other playback information.

The DMP-A6 Gen 2 can also be operated using Eversolo's mobile and tablet apps, making it equally convenient from the listening position.

Expandable Internal Music Storage

For listeners who maintain a large local high-resolution music library, the DMP-A6 Gen 2 includes an internal M.2 NVMe SSD slot.

This allows music to be stored directly inside the streamer, reducing the need for a separate computer or NAS for many installations. Eversolo's current product specification lists support for up to 8TB M.2 NVMe storage.

It also includes 4GB DDR4 memory and 32GB eMMC internal storage for the operating system and applications.

HDMI ARC & Home Theater Integration

The Gen 2 adds HDMI ARC, allowing compatible televisions to send stereo audio directly to the DMP-A6 Gen 2 at up to PCM 192kHz/24-bit.

It also provides an HDMI audio output capable of DSD64 Native multichannel and PCM up to 192kHz multichannel, with output up to 5.1 channels.

A 12V trigger output and Wake-on-LAN (WOL) further improve integration with amplifiers and complete audio systems.

External USB CD Playback & Ripping
