The Esoteric 7N-DA3100ES MEXCEL is a premium 50Ω BNC digital cable engineered for uncompromising digital signal and 10MHz master clock transmission. Developed as part of the Esoteric Mastering Edition, it combines Esoteric’s renowned Mexcel conductor technology with materials and tuning selected under the supervision of the Esoteric Mastering Center.

Esoteric Mastering Edition

The 7N-DA3100ES MEXCEL was specially tuned under the supervision of Masaya Tono, Chief Mastering Engineer at the Esoteric Mastering Center. Knowledge gained through Esoteric’s mastering and music-production work was applied directly to the cable’s conductor, shielding, connector materials, and overall construction.

The result is a cable designed not simply for technical accuracy, but for preserving the dynamics, spatial information, texture, and natural character contained in the original recording.

Mexcel “Gigahertz Flat” Transmission

At the heart of the 7N-DA3100ES is Esoteric’s Mexcel Gigahertz Flat Transmission Technology. The cable maintains highly uniform impedance and wide-band transmission characteristics extending into the GHz range.

For digital and clock applications, this helps preserve waveform accuracy and timing integrity while minimizing transmission loss and distortion.

Ultra-Pure 7N Copper Conductor

The main conductor uses D.U.C.C. 7N Cu with 99.99999% purity, manufactured under extremely strict purity standards.

A 0.8mm solid-core Mexcel center conductor provides stable signal transmission and contributes to powerful, well-defined midrange and low-frequency reproduction.

Mastering-Grade 50Ω BNC Connectors

Custom 50Ω BNC connectors were developed specifically for high-quality digital and 10MHz master clock transmission.

The center pin is machined from solid phosphor bronze and directly plated with 24K gold, without a nickel undercoat. The cold-signal shell uses high-quality phosphor bronze with silver and rhodium plating.

A carbon-fiber and aluminum connector sleeve further helps control vibration and unwanted noise.
