18" MASS Drive™ Driver

The Vera 18 MK2 uses Deus Audio's proprietary MASS Drive™ motor topology, engineered to maintain controlled BL, KMS, and inductance throughout the driver's stroke. Performance is Klippel validated, with 26mm / 1.02" one-way Xmax at 82% BL. Deus Audio Machines

The sealed Vera 18 MK2 has a native response of 30–230Hz at -3dB. With its Linkwitz Transform applied, response extends to:

TrueTemp™ Thermal Monitoring

TrueTemp™ directly measures voice-coil temperature rather than estimating it. The data feeds the Deus amplifier's protection system, which monitors excursion, voltage, voice-coil temperature, and rate of thermal change through side-chain limiting designed to avoid clipping and overshoot. Constrained-Layer-Damping Enclosure

The sealed cabinet uses Constrained-Layer-Damping (CLD) construction, with the front and rear panels coupled through a dedicated motor mount to create a stiff, low-coloration structure.

AMP2.2500 DSP Amplification

The current Vera 18 MK2 is engineered around the Deus AMP2.2500, using Hypex Ncore NC2K amplifier modules with matching Hypex power supplies. Each of its two channels delivers up to 2,500W peak into 4Ω and can drive one Vera 18 MK2. Deus Audio Machines

The AMP2.2500 adds Analog Devices DSP, Wi-Fi tuning, TrueTemp monitoring, Invicta-specific correction and protection profiles, balanced XLR inputs with passthrough, SpeakOn and high-current Phoenix outputs, 12V trigger control, touchscreen monitoring, and 100–240V operation. The distributor currently sells the Vera as both single and dual powered packages. Playback's single package pairs one Vera 18 with amplification, while its dual package pairs two Vera 18s with amplification.
