Quad DAC Architecture
Audio Research uses four D/A converters, with dual stereo DACs operating in mono for each channel. This architecture is designed to increase dynamic range and lower the noise floor. Separate signal paths handle PCM and native DSD data, avoiding unnecessary conversion between formats. audioresearch.com
6H30 Tube Analog Stage
The DAC9's digital section feeds a fully balanced, Class A, zero-feedback analog stage using two 6H30 tubes. The circuit is direct coupled without capacitors in the signal path. audioresearch.com
Flexible Digital Connectivity
An asynchronous USB 2.0 input supports PCM from 44.1 to 384 kHz plus DSD and 2xDSD. Additional galvanically isolated RCA, BNC and AES/EBU XLR inputs support up to 192 kHz, while Toslink supports up to 96 kHz. Do you price match?

Do you offer free shipping?
Yes — free shipping on every order, with 2-day delivery available on most products. Easy returns and exchanges are included.
Where is your showroom?
We're at 6362 Alder Drive, Houston, Texas. The showroom lets you hear and compare reference-level systems in person before making any decisions. If you're considering a larger purchase or installation, it's well worth the visit.
Can I buy online without visiting the showroom?
Yes. The full product range is available through the online store with free nationwide shipping. For more complex system builds, speaking with one of our advisers first tends to lead to a better result.
Do you offer financing?
