Marten Coltrane Quintet Loudspeakers
The Marten Coltrane Quintet brings reference-level Coltrane technology into a powerful four-way floorstanding loudspeaker designed for exceptional resolution, scale, dynamics, and control.
Handcrafted in Sweden, the Coltrane Quintet combines a pure diamond tweeter, pure beryllium high-midrange, carbon-fiber mid-bass driver, and dual 10-inch aluminum-sandwich woofers within an exceptionally rigid carbon-fiber cabinet.
Diamond, Beryllium & Carbon Fiber
The Coltrane Quintet uses an advanced four-way driver array engineered specifically for Marten.
A 1-inch pure diamond tweeter delivers exceptional speed, clarity, and low distortion, while a 3-inch pure beryllium high-midrange driver reproduces vocals and instruments with outstanding detail and transient response.
A custom 7-inch convex carbon-fiber mid-bass driver provides speed, articulation, and exceptional damping.
Low frequencies are handled by dual 10-inch aluminum-sandwich bass drivers, giving the Quintet deep, powerful bass extending to an impressive 18 Hz.
Signature First-Order Crossover
The Coltrane Quintet uses Marten's signature first-order crossover, designed to achieve exceptional time and phase coherence between the drivers.
Premium crossover components include copper-foil air-core coils, silver/copper oil-paper capacitors, silver/gold capacitors, custom-made resistors, and Jorma internal wiring.
Carbon-Fiber Construction
The Quintet's cabinet uses 20–30mm carbon-fiber laminate construction with a sophisticated front baffle combining aluminum, fiberboard, and solid wood.
The extremely rigid enclosure minimizes unwanted cabinet resonance, allowing the drivers to operate with exceptional accuracy.
Mirror-polished stainless-steel supports incorporate Marten Isolators developed with IsoAcoustics, further reducing resonance transfer between the loudspeaker and floor.
