The Marten Coltrane Momento 2 is a true reference-level loudspeaker, combining extraordinary scale and authority with the speed, transparency, and natural presentation that define Marten's Coltrane series.

Built around technology developed for the Coltrane Supreme 2, the Momento 2 features dual pure diamond drivers, a 7-inch ceramic midrange, six 8-inch aluminum-sandwich bass drivers, four rear passive radiators, and Marten's first-order crossover.

With frequency response extending from 20 Hz to 100,000 Hz ±2 dB, the Momento 2 is designed to reproduce the full scale of a recording with exceptional clarity, control, and realism.

Dual Diamond Drivers

The Momento 2 uses an extraordinary pair of pure diamond drivers for the upper frequencies.

A 0.75-inch pure diamond driver is joined by a larger 2-inch pure diamond driver, taking advantage of diamond's exceptional stiffness-to-weight ratio, speed, and thermal properties.

The result is remarkable resolution and transient response without sacrificing the natural tonal balance that Marten is known for.

Ceramic Midrange & Powerful Bass

A 7-inch ceramic driver handles the critical midrange, combining low mass, extreme rigidity, and high internal damping for exceptional clarity and low distortion.

Low frequencies are produced by an array of six 8-inch aluminum-sandwich bass drivers.

On the rear of the cabinet, four 10-inch passive aluminum-sandwich radiators complement the active bass system, helping the Momento 2 achieve deep, controlled bass extending to 20 Hz.

First-Order Crossover

The Momento 2 uses the bespoke crossover technology developed for the Coltrane Supreme 2.

Marten's first-order crossover is designed to achieve exceptional time and phase coherence, allowing the individual drivers to behave as one unified loudspeaker system.

Premium components include copper-foil air-core coils, silver/copper foil capacitors, silver foil capacitors, custom-made resistors, and Jorma internal cabling.

Carbon-Fiber Construction

The Momento 2 cabinet uses 25mm carbon-fiber laminate sides combined with massive 70mm solid laminated wood front, rear, top, and bottom sections.

This exceptionally rigid construction minimizes cabinet resonance and provides a stable platform for the extensive driver array.

Polished stainless-steel supports incorporate Marten Isolators developed with IsoAcoustics, mechanically isolating the 467-pound loudspeaker from the floor and further reducing unwanted resonance.

Statement Edition Available

The Coltrane Momento 2 can also be upgraded to Statement Edition specification.

The Statement Edition adds Jorma Statement internal wiring and higher-quality crossover components, taking the Momento 2 platform to an even higher level of performance.
