The Clarus Crimson MKII Subwoofer Cable is a premium RCA interconnect engineered specifically for low-frequency audio transmission. Designed for reference home theater and high-end stereo systems, it combines Pure Continuous Cast Copper (PCCC) conductors, proprietary multi-gauge geometry and advanced shielding to deliver a clean, low-noise connection between an AV processor, preamplifier or receiver and a powered subwoofer.
Unlike conventional full-range RCA interconnects, the Crimson MKII uses conductor geometry optimized for bass frequencies, helping preserve low-frequency detail while reducing unwanted interference.
Pure Continuous Cast Copper Conductors
Clarus uses PCCC single-crystal copper, manufactured through a specialized continuous-casting process that minimizes crystal boundaries and impurities.
The Crimson MKII incorporates three sizes of individually insulated solid-core conductors, engineered to accommodate different portions of the bass frequency spectrum. Its proprietary multi-gauge construction is designed for accurate low-frequency signal transmission.
Twisted-Pair Geometry and Dual Shielding
The cable's twisted-pair architecture helps reduce noise pickup along the signal path. A combination of double-sided aluminum foil/Mylar shielding and copper braid protects against electromagnetic and radio-frequency interference.
This construction is particularly valuable in home theater installations where subwoofer cables may run alongside power wiring, amplifiers and other electronic equipment.
