The Clarus Crimson MKII High-Current Power Cable is engineered for demanding amplifiers, receivers, powered subwoofers and other high-current audio components. Its massive 8 AWG Pure Continuous Cast Copper (PCCC) conductor system is designed to deliver instantaneous current without restricting transient performance or dynamics. Clarus Audiophile Collection
8 AWG PCCC Conductor Architecture
Crimson combines multiple heavy-gauge solid conductors with multiple enamel-coated conductors. Clarus uses a multi-stage alternating twist geometry, with conductors selectively twisted according to frequency role and counter-rotated within the cable to reduce magnetic-field interaction and induced distortion. Dual Shielding
Two shielding layers reduce RF and EMI contamination entering or leaving the power cable. Individually insulated conductors and Clarus' specialized dielectric construction further address vibration and electrical noise within the AC path. Clarus Audiophile Collection
Crimson MKII Power Connectors
Crimson MKII uses a 5-15P to IEC C15 configuration with Clarus' proprietary high-retention C15 connector. The connector provides a positive "click" when fully seated for a secure connection.
Contacts are made from C1100 pure copper rated at 101% IACS conductivity and gold plated to resist oxidation. The connector housing combines vibration-damping POM with brass and carbon fiber construction. Clarus Audiophile Collection
