Toroidal AC Power Isolation

At the heart of every BIT RM unit is a high-capacity toroidal isolation transformer designed to electrically isolate connected equipment from noise on the incoming AC supply.

Non-Sacrificial Series Mode Surge Protection

The BIT RM Series incorporates Series Mode Surge Suppression (SMSS) to protect connected equipment against damaging voltage transients.

Unlike conventional metal-oxide varistor (MOV) protection, which can degrade after repeated surge events, the series-mode design is engineered for repeated surge suppression.

Its protection circuitry begins responding to transients approximately 2 volts above the nominal AC peak, without diverting surge energy into the equipment grounding system.

Low-Noise Transformer Engineering

Bryston employs Plitron's LONO low-noise transformer technology to minimize mechanical hum associated with power transformers.

This design helps reduce audible vibration caused by challenging AC line conditions, including DC offset.
