AudioQuest Angel Turntable RCA to RCA Cable with Ground Wire

Reference-Level Silver Conductors for High-Performance Vinyl Playback

The AudioQuest Angel Turntable RCA to RCA Cable brings solid Perfect-Surface Silver (PSS) conductors, advanced noise management and AudioQuest's 72V Dielectric-Bias System to the delicate connection between your turntable and phono preamplifier.

Designed for serious vinyl enthusiasts, Angel combines premium conductor materials with Carbon-Based Noise-Dissipation, FEP Air-Tube insulation and cold-welded, Direct-Silver Plated Pure Red Copper terminations. Its dedicated turntable configuration includes stereo RCA connections and a separate ground wire, making it suitable for compatible analog systems that require both signal and grounding connections.

Angel is an option for listeners building a reference-level vinyl playback system or upgrading the connection between an existing turntable and phono stage.

Solid Perfect-Surface Silver (PSS) Conductors

At the heart of Angel are AudioQuest's solid Perfect-Surface Silver conductors, the company's highest-grade conductor material.

Unlike conventional silver-plated copper cables, Angel uses solid silver for its signal conductors. AudioQuest's Perfect-Surface Technology is designed to minimize surface irregularities and the effects of grain boundaries.

Solid-conductor construction also eliminates the electrical and magnetic interactions that can occur between individual strands in conventional stranded cables.

AudioQuest selected PSS for its approach to minimizing conductor-related distortion and maximizing linear RF Noise-Dissipation.

These design considerations are particularly relevant to vinyl playback, where a phono cartridge generates an extremely low-level signal that must be amplified substantially before reaching the loudspeakers.

Carbon-Based Noise-Dissipation

Angel incorporates AudioQuest's three-layer Carbon-Based Noise-Dissipation system.

The construction uses alternating layers of metal and carbon-loaded synthetic materials to absorb and reflect unwanted radio-frequency energy before it reaches the shield connected to ground.

Conventional cable shielding can collect RF interference and transfer it toward the connected component's ground reference. AudioQuest's approach is designed to reduce the amount of this energy reaching the equipment.

This is particularly relevant in modern listening rooms, where wireless networks, computers, televisions, mobile devices and switching power supplies can generate unwanted RF energy.

For sensitive phono connections, managing interference is an important consideration because the cartridge's low-level signal undergoes substantial amplification.

72V Dielectric-Bias System (DBS)

Angel features AudioQuest's 72V Dielectric-Bias System, an important part of its advanced cable architecture.

The insulation surrounding a cable's conductors acts as a dielectric, meaning it can absorb and release electrical energy. AudioQuest developed DBS to establish a consistent electrostatic field within that insulation.

According to AudioQuest, maintaining this polarization is intended to reduce dielectric-related distortion and improve the cable's ability to dissipate unwanted radio-frequency energy.

Angel's DBS also incorporates an RF Trap developed from technology used in AudioQuest's Niagara power products. The RF Trap is designed to prevent radio-frequency energy from the bias system's field elements from being induced into the signal conductors.

Together, these technologies form part of Angel's approach to maintaining signal integrity in demanding analog audio systems.

FEP Air-Tube Insulation

Angel uses FEP Air-Tube insulation around its positive conductors.

Air has exceptionally low dielectric absorption, making it desirable for minimizing interaction between a conductor and its surrounding insulation.

AudioQuest's Air-Tube construction reduces physical contact between the positive conductors and the FEP material. The negative conductors use a deliberately different insulation arrangement suited to their electrical function.

The objective is to minimize insulation-related signal interference and preserve dynamic contrasts.

Direction-Controlled Conductors

All internal conductors in Angel are Direction-Controlled.

AudioQuest identifies a directional grain structure created during the metal-drawing process and controls conductor orientation as part of its RF Noise-Dissipation strategy.

This construction is intended to manage how induced radio-frequency energy travels through the cable.

When installing Angel, follow any directional markings on the connectors to maintain AudioQuest's intended orientation.

Cold-Welded, Direct-Silver Plated Pure Red Copper Terminations

Angel features cold-welded, Direct-Silver Plated Pure Red Copper RCA terminations.

AudioQuest's high-pressure cold-welding process creates the conductor-to-connector connection without conventional solder.

Direct silver plating is applied without an underlying nickel layer, complementing the cable's solid PSS conductors and advanced noise-management design.

These premium terminations complete Angel's signal path between compatible turntables and phono preamplifiers.

Dedicated RCA to RCA Turntable Configuration with Ground Wire

Unlike AudioQuest's JIS and DIN tonearm cables, Angel Turntable uses conventional stereo RCA connections at both ends.

It is designed for compatible turntables equipped with standard RCA outputs and phono preamplifiers or amplifiers with appropriate phono inputs.

The included ground wire provides a separate grounding connection between compatible equipment.

This makes Angel a complete cable solution for turntables that require both stereo RCA signal connections and a dedicated ground wire.

Before ordering, confirm your turntable's output configuration, the required cable length and the grounding arrangement specified by your equipment manufacturers.

A properly installed ground connection can help address certain types of hum, although a replacement cable cannot resolve every ground-loop or electrical interference problem.

Designed for Reference-Level Analog Audio Systems

A high-performance vinyl system depends on the interaction between the cartridge, tonearm, turntable, phono preamplifier, amplification and loudspeakers.

The cable connecting the turntable to the phono stage is an important part of that signal chain, particularly when using low-output moving-coil cartridges.

Angel combines solid PSS conductors with AudioQuest's Carbon-Based Noise-Dissipation and 72V DBS to address conductor-related distortion, dielectric effects and unwanted RF interference.

Its dedicated grounding connection makes it a practical solution for compatible RCA-equipped turntables.

For customers who have invested in premium analog components, Angel provides a turntable-specific alternative to using a conventional RCA interconnect with a separate aftermarket ground wire.
