The AudioQuest PowerQuest 2 is a compact 6-outlet power conditioner and non-sacrificial surge protector designed to improve power delivery while protecting audio, video, networking, and home entertainment equipment. Its slim, versatile design can stand vertically, lie horizontally on a shelf, or be positioned behind cabinetry, making it an easy addition to systems where a full-size component power conditioner isn't necessary.

Unlike a conventional surge strip, the PowerQuest 2 combines Linear Noise-Dissipation, Differential-Mode Noise-Dissipation, high-current outlets, non-sacrificial surge protection, Extreme Voltage Shutdown, USB charging, and signal-line protection in one compact unit.

Six Outlets Designed for Different Components

Rather than treating every outlet identically, AudioQuest configures the PowerQuest 2 around the different demands of an A/V system.

The dedicated 4K/8K video outlet combines Linear Filtering with additional Noise-Dissipation for displays and video components. Three additional Linear-Filtered outlets are intended for constant-current source components, computers, routers, and similar electronics. The two High-Current outlets are reserved for components with more demanding current requirements, including amplifiers, powered speakers, receivers, soundbars, and subwoofers.

Linear Noise-Dissipation

AC power can carry noise generated by the utility grid, household appliances, wireless devices, switching power supplies, and even other components within the A/V system.

The PowerQuest 2 incorporates AudioQuest's Differential-Mode Noise-Dissipation along with EMI/RFI filtering to reduce this unwanted noise before it reaches connected equipment.

Non-Sacrificial Surge Protection

The PowerQuest 2 is designed to handle repeated transient surges and spikes up to 6000 volts / 3000 amps—the maximum level AudioQuest says can typically pass through a building's electrical panel—without relying on protection components that wear out after doing their job.

AudioQuest's Extreme Voltage Shutdown provides protection against sustained over-voltage conditions. At 140VAC, the PowerQuest 2 disconnects its outlets in less than 0.25 seconds and automatically restores power after incoming voltage stabilizes.

Flexible Installation

The PowerQuest 2 doesn't need to look like another A/V component.

Its slim enclosure can be positioned vertically using the detachable base, placed horizontally on a shelf, or installed behind cabinetry. The outlets remain accessible in either orientation, while the flat-to-wall 45-degree plug helps when the wall receptacle is located behind furniture or equipment.
