Power meets grace. The AudioQuest PowerQuest 909 sits at the top of the PowerQuest lineup, bringing substantially more current capability and premium power-cable technology to serious two-channel audio and home theater systems.

With 20-amp RMS current capacity, 45-amp peak Transient Power Correction, 12 hospital-grade outlets, Ultra-Linear filtering, and AudioQuest's non-sacrificial protection architecture, the PQ-909 is designed to deliver clean power without starving high-current amplification when the system demands it most.

20-Amp Power for Serious Systems

The PowerQuest 909 steps up to a 20-amp RMS maximum current capacity, giving high-performance systems considerably more headroom than a conventional 15-amp power solution.

For large power amplifiers, powered speakers, subwoofers, and demanding theater systems, that increased capacity helps the PQ-909 serve as the power foundation rather than becoming a bottleneck.

45-Amp Transient Power Correction

Big amplifiers don't draw power at a perfectly constant rate. Musical peaks, deep bass transients, and explosive movie soundtracks can create sudden demands for current.

AudioQuest's Transient Power Correction (TPC) provides a low-impedance current reservoir capable of supplying more than 45 amps of peak current for up to 25 milliseconds.

That reserve is specifically intended to support current-hungry amplification, helping preserve dynamic contrast, bass impact, control, and scale rather than restricting the amplifier when demand suddenly increases.

Ultra-Linear Noise Dissipation

The PQ-909 employs Differential- and Common-Mode Ultra-Linear Filtering to reduce AC-line noise across a wide bandwidth.

Removing this unwanted electrical contamination can provide sensitive audio and video components with a cleaner operating environment, helping reveal low-level information and creating the deep, quiet background expected from a properly optimized high-end system.

12 Hospital-Grade Outlets

The PowerQuest 909 provides 12 component-optimized hospital-grade AC outlets, divided according to the electrical demands of the equipment connected to them.

4 High-Current outlets with TPC are intended for power amplifiers, powered speakers, and subwoofers.

8 Ultra-Linear Filtered outlets are optimized for source components and constant-current devices such as preamplifiers, DACs, streamers, disc players, televisions, projectors, processors, and other electronics.

The hospital-grade receptacles also provide superior retention strength for secure AC connections.

Non-Sacrificial Surge Protection

Protection shouldn't disappear after the first serious surge.

The PowerQuest 909's Non-Sacrificial Surge Protection is engineered to withstand multiple transient surges and spikes up to 6000 volts or 3000 amps—the maximum AudioQuest states can pass through a typical home or office electrical panel.

Unlike sacrificial protection devices that can degrade as they absorb surge events, the PQ-909's protection system is designed for repeated use.

Extreme Voltage Shutdown

Surges aren't the only threat to expensive electronics. Sustained overvoltage can also cause serious damage.

When incoming AC reaches 140 volts, the PowerQuest 909 opens its main power relay in less than 0.25 seconds, disconnecting the system. Once incoming voltage returns to a safe range, the unit automatically resets and restores power.

Premium PQ-920 20-Amp Power Cable Included

AudioQuest doesn't treat the connection from the wall to the conditioner as an afterthought.

Every PowerQuest 909 includes a 2-meter PQ-920 20A detachable AC power cable using Semi-Solid Concentric Perfect-Surface Copper+ (PSC+) and Long-Grain Copper conductors.

The PQ-920 incorporates ZERO-Tech to minimize characteristic impedance and support unrestricted transient-current transfer, along with RF/ND-Tech to reduce induced RF noise. Its flat-to-wall 45°/90° plug also makes installation easier behind racks and cabinetry.

The included cable is 12 AWG, rated for 20 amps RMS, and terminates in an IEC C19 connector at the PowerQuest.

Rack-Ready for Custom Installation

The PowerQuest 909 includes a 2RU rack-mounting kit, allowing it to integrate cleanly into dedicated equipment racks for high-end stereo, media-room, and custom home theater installations.
