AudioQuest PowerQuest 707 — 12-Outlet Power Conditioner & Surge Protector

The AudioQuest PowerQuest 707 brings several of AudioQuest’s more advanced power technologies into the PowerQuest platform, making it a serious foundation for high-performance two-channel audio and home theater systems.

AC power can carry radio-frequency interference, electrical noise, and other distortions that find their way into sensitive audio and video circuitry. The PowerQuest 707 uses AudioQuest’s Ultra-Linear Noise-Dissipation technology to reduce this contamination across a wide bandwidth.

The goal is not simply filtration. It is providing a cleaner electrical environment without restricting the instantaneous current demanded by high-performance amplifiers.

The result can mean a quieter background, greater low-level resolution, improved dimensionality, and cleaner picture quality from the components connected to the system.

Transient Power Correction — More Than a Power Conditioner

One of the technologies that separates the PowerQuest 707 from the lower PowerQuest models is Transient Power Correction (TPC).

The low-impedance TPC circuit provides a reservoir of more than 45 amps of peak current for up to 25 milliseconds, helping power amplifiers and other current-hungry components respond to sudden dynamic demands without unnecessary current compression.

For demanding music and movie soundtracks, that additional instantaneous current capability is designed to preserve dynamic contrast, impact, and control.

Rather than treating every component the same, the PowerQuest 707 provides dedicated outlets optimized for different types of equipment:

• 4 Upgraded High-Current Outlets with Transient Power Correction — intended for power amplifiers, integrated amplifiers, AV receivers, powered speakers, soundbars, and subwoofers.
• 8 Ultra-Linear Filtered Outlets — designed for source components such as streamers, DACs, preamplifiers, televisions, projectors, disc players, computers, network equipment, and other electronics.

This makes the PQ-707 particularly well suited to complete stereo and theater systems where both high-current amplification and sensitive source electronics need clean, stable power.

Non-Sacrificial Surge Protection

Conventional surge protectors can degrade after absorbing repeated voltage spikes. AudioQuest takes a different approach.

The PowerQuest 707's non-sacrificial surge protection is engineered to withstand repeated 6000V / 3000A input surges—the maximum level AudioQuest states can survive through a building's electrical panel—without damaging the protection circuitry.

That means the protection system isn't designed as a consumable component that quietly wears out after repeated surge events.

Extreme Voltage Shutdown

The PowerQuest 707 also protects against sustained dangerous voltage conditions.

If incoming voltage reaches 140VAC, its Extreme Voltage Shutdown circuit opens the main power relay in less than 0.25 seconds, disconnecting connected equipment from AC power. Once voltage returns to a safe level, the system automatically resets.

For systems containing expensive amplifiers, processors, DACs, projectors, televisions, and other electronics, this additional layer of protection can be just as important as conventional surge suppression.

Premium PQ-715 Detachable Power Cable Included

AudioQuest includes a 2-meter PQ-715 detachable AC power cable with the PowerQuest 707.

The cable uses Semi-Solid Long-Grain Copper conductors, Direction-Controlled Conductors, ZERO-Tech, and RF/ND-Tech. These technologies are designed to reduce conductor interaction and RF noise while maintaining low-impedance current transfer.

The 707 also incorporates a 45-degree flat-to-wall AC plug, making installation easier behind equipment racks, cabinets, and furniture.
