The AudioQuest PowerQuest 303 is a high-performance, rack-mountable power conditioner designed for complete audio, home theater, and A/V systems. With 12 application-optimized AC outlets, advanced Linear Noise-Dissipation, non-sacrificial surge protection, and Extreme-Voltage Shutdown, the PQ-303 provides a significant step up from conventional power strips and basic surge protectors.

Four dedicated High-Current outlets are optimized for amplifiers, A/V receivers, powered speakers, subwoofers, and other variable-current components, while eight Linear-Filtered outlets provide clean power for source components, TVs, streamers, turntables, preamplifiers, computers, networking equipment, and other electronics.

4 High-Current + 8 Linear-Filtered Outlets

AudioQuest doesn't treat every outlet on the PQ-303 the same.

The four High-Current outlets are intended for variable-current components such as:

The remaining eight Linear-Filtered outlets are optimized for constant-current source components such as:

Separating the outlets by application helps the PowerQuest manage both incoming AC noise and noise generated by the components themselves and fed back into the system.

Linear Noise-Dissipation

The PowerQuest 303 is the starting point of AudioQuest's four-model rack-mountable PowerQuest range.

Its Linear Noise-Dissipation employs differential-mode filtering from 30kHz to 1GHz, targeting asymmetrical noise already present on the utility line as well as noise generated by electronics and fed back into the AC circuit.

This is also one of the important differences as you move farther up the PowerQuest line: the 505 adds common-mode filtering, while the 707 further extends the bandwidth of the differential-mode filtering.

Serious, Non-Sacrificial Protection

The PowerQuest 303 is designed to withstand repeated 6000V / 3000A transient surges—the maximum AudioQuest says can typically make it through a building's electrical panel—without damaging the protection circuitry.

Extreme-Voltage Shutdown provides protection against sustained over-voltage conditions. At 140VAC, the PQ-303 opens its main power relay in less than 0.25 seconds, disconnecting connected equipment. Once incoming power stabilizes, the system automatically reconnects.

PQ-415 Power Cable Included

The PowerQuest 303 includes AudioQuest's 2-meter detachable PQ-415 power cable.

The PQ-415 uses Semi-Solid Long-Grain Copper (LGC) conductors and direction-controlled conductors as part of AudioQuest's noise-dissipation approach. Its flat-to-wall plug also makes installation easier where equipment racks or furniture sit close to the wall.

Rack-Ready Design

Unlike the PowerQuest 2 and PowerQuest 3, the PQ-303 is designed as a component-style power conditioner that can integrate directly into a dedicated equipment rack.

2RU rack ears are included, making it particularly well suited to professionally installed home theaters, media rooms, two-channel systems, and whole-home A/V racks.

Technical Specifications

AudioQuest currently lists the North American PowerQuest 303 at $529.95, and its warranty documentation specifies a five-year limited warranty for the 303, 505, and 707.

The PQ-303 is where the PowerQuest line makes the jump from compact power products into a full-size, rack-mountable system power conditioner.
