AudioQuest Brave Heart Full-Range ZERO-Tech Speaker Cable — Pair

AudioQuest Brave Heart Full-Range is a substantial ZERO-Tech speaker cable built for high-performance two-channel systems where amplifier control, transient current, and noise reduction matter. Compared with its predecessors, Brave Heart uses significantly more conductor metal while remaining manageable by separating the positive and negative sides into individual round constructions. AudioQuest describes the result as delivering greater low-frequency grip and preserving amplifier damping factor over longer cable runs.

At its core are Solid Perfect-Surface Copper+ (PSC+) conductors, ZERO-Tech, Level 7 Linear Noise-Dissipation, 72V Dielectric-Bias System, graphene and carbon-based noise-dissipation materials, 4% silver-plated shield drains, and cold-welded Red Copper terminations.

More PSC+ Copper, More Control

Brave Heart contains nearly one-third more PSC+ conductor metal than AudioQuest’s previous comparable models. AudioQuest says its physical size approaches that of the Mythical Creatures cables—only about 0.6 mm smaller in outside diameter—while its split positive/negative construction makes it easier to manage.

The additional conductor material is particularly significant when driving difficult loudspeaker loads. By better preserving amplifier damping factor over distance, Brave Heart is designed to maintain stronger control of loudspeakers that dip to low impedances, especially in the bass.

100% Solid Perfect-Surface Copper+ (PSC+)

Brave Heart uses AudioQuest’s highest-grade copper: Perfect-Surface Copper+.

The extreme purity and smooth surface of PSC+ are designed to minimize distortion associated with conductor grain boundaries. Its solid-conductor construction also eliminates strand-to-strand interaction, avoiding a source of transient intermodulation distortion found in conventional stranded cables.

ZERO-Tech — No Characteristic Impedance

Brave Heart incorporates AudioQuest’s ZERO-Tech architecture.

Instead of designing the cable around a conventional fixed characteristic impedance, ZERO-Tech eliminates the electrostatic field between the cable’s high- and low-signal conductors. AudioQuest says this allows uncompressed transient-current transfer while making RF Noise Dissipation more linear from octave to octave.

This is particularly relevant when a power amplifier is asked to control demanding loudspeakers during large dynamic swings.

Level 7 Linear Noise-Dissipation

Brave Heart uses AudioQuest’s Level 7 Linear Noise-Dissipation architecture to address the RF noise present in modern environments.

The system combines a Graphene + Carbon Mesh-Network, ZERO-Tech, Direction-Controlled conductors, 72V DBS, and silver-plated shield drains to reduce RF noise before it can reach sensitive amplifier circuitry.

AudioQuest also uses thicker Carbon-Loaded PVC layers and graphene in Brave Heart to further improve RF Noise Dissipation.

72V Dielectric-Bias System with RF Noise-Trap

AudioQuest’s 72V Dielectric-Bias System (DBS) continuously biases the cable’s insulation.

Because insulation also behaves as a dielectric, it can store and release energy. Maintaining a constant bias is designed to minimize dielectric noise and linearize the dielectric’s behavior, improving wide-bandwidth dissipation of induced RF noise.

Brave Heart also incorporates an RF Noise-Trap as part of this system.

Upgraded Polypropylene Insulation

Brave Heart uses upgraded polypropylene insulation rather than the Foamed-Polyethylene construction found in several earlier AudioQuest designs.

AudioQuest says the optimized insulation allows greater spacing between conductors, reducing distributed-capacitance distortion while expanding the effective bandwidth of the cable’s Noise-Dissipation system.

4% Silver-Plated Shield Drains

Brave Heart uses high-quality copper shield drains with 4% silver plating.

These drains aren't signal conductors; they're part of the cable’s Noise-Dissipation architecture. The silver plating increases conductivity where it matters most for RF energy, improving the efficiency with which unwanted noise is drained away.

Permanent Molecular Optimization

AudioQuest applies its Permanent Molecular Optimization process during manufacturing.

A carefully controlled high-frequency AC signal—far beyond what the cable would encounter during normal audio use—is applied to the cable. AudioQuest says this treatment significantly reduces transient intermodulation distortion and substantially reduces the conventional cable burn-in process.

Cold-Welded Red Copper Terminations

Brave Heart uses cold-welded Red Copper connectors, eliminating solder and the additional materials and heat associated with conventional soldered connections.

The bare connector components are silver-plated, while the speaker breakouts and plug housings are synthetic rather than metal to avoid introducing additional RF noise into the conductors.
