Advance Paris A10 APEX Hybrid Integrated Amplifier

The Advance Paris A10 APEX combines tube preamplification, powerful solid-state amplification, high-resolution digital audio, HDMI eARC and extensive analog connectivity in one beautifully designed integrated amplifier.

At its heart are two ECC81/12AT7 tubes in the preamplifier stage, feeding a high-current Class A/B power amplifier rated at 130 watts per channel into 8 ohms and 198 watts per channel into 4 ohms.

Add an ESS9018 DAC, MM phono stage, USB audio, balanced XLR input, dual subwoofer outputs and selectable High-Bias operation, and the A10 APEX becomes an extremely versatile centerpiece for a serious two-channel HiFi system.

Tube Preamplification + Class A/B Power

The A10 APEX uses two ECC81/12AT7 tubes in its preamplifier stage, bringing tube character into the signal path before handing amplification duties over to its powerful solid-state output stage.

Power output is rated at:

• 198W per channel into 4Ω
• 120W per channel into 8Ω from 20Hz–20kHz at less than 0.07% THD+N
• 183W per channel into 4Ω from 20Hz–20kHz at less than 0.07% THD+N

A substantial 380VA toroidal transformer provides the power supply foundation for the amplifier.

High-Bias Operation

The A10 APEX includes Advance Paris' selectable High-Bias mode, which doubles the Class A bias.

This allows the amplifier to remain in Class A operation at higher output levels before transitioning into Class A/B, giving listeners another way to get the smoothness and refinement associated with Class A while retaining the power and efficiency of a Class A/B amplifier when more output is needed.

ESS9018 DAC

Digital sources can connect directly to the A10 APEX through its built-in ESS9018 DAC.

Digital connectivity includes:

Optical and coaxial inputs support PCM playback up to 24-bit/192kHz, while USB Audio supports 24-bit/192kHz PCM plus DSD64 and DSD128.

HDMI eARC for TV Audio

The inclusion of HDMI eARC makes the A10 APEX an excellent option for someone who wants a serious two-channel music system that can also handle television audio.

With a compatible television connected through HDMI eARC, switching on the TV can automatically start the A10 APEX, while television volume commands control the amplifier.

Instead of adding a separate soundbar or home theater receiver, your main HiFi system can handle both music and television.

Built-In MM Phono Stage

Vinyl listeners can connect a turntable equipped with a compatible Moving Magnet cartridge directly to the A10 APEX through its dedicated MM phono input.

For higher-performance analog systems using a moving-coil cartridge, The Grid can match the A10 APEX with an appropriate external MC phono preamplifier.

The A10 APEX provides enough connectivity to become the control center for a complete audio system.

The module provides Bluetooth aptX HD / Low Latency capability and can work in both directions—allowing music to be sent from a compatible phone, tablet or computer to the amplifier, or allowing audio from a source connected to the A10 APEX to be transmitted to compatible Bluetooth headphones.
