Overview

Aurender ACS10 Signature Content Server, CD Ripper & Digital Transport

The Aurender ACS10 is a high-performance content server, automatic CD ripper, music library manager and USB digital transport designed for large local music collections. It combines up to 28TB of internal storage, RAID capability, metadata editing, a dedicated isolated USB Audio output, full linear power supply and three Gigabit Ethernet ports in a machined-aluminum chassis. Aurender Music

Unlike the smaller ACS100, the ACS10 is engineered to function as both a central music-library server and a reference digital source connected directly to an external USB DAC.

Automatic CD Ripping & Metadata Management

The ACS10 uses a drawer-loading optical drive with Aurender's lossless, error-corrected CD-ripping engine. CDs can be archived as FLAC, WAV or AIFF, with metadata automatically retrieved and editable through the ACS Manager app. Aurender Music

ACS Manager provides direct control over large local libraries, including metadata editing, file organization, moving, renaming and deleting files without relying on a conventional computer. Aurender Music

For large CD collections, the ACS10 is compatible with the optional Acronova Nimbie AutoLoader for automated batch ripping. Aurender Music

Up to 28TB Internal Music Storage

The ACS10 is built around dual internal hard-drive storage and supports RAID 1 mirroring, allowing one drive to mirror the other for protection against a single drive failure. The storage can alternatively be configured to maximize usable capacity. Aurender Music

Aurender's current specifications list configurations with up to 28TB of library storage. Higher-capacity 24TB and 28TB versions receive 16GB RAM and a 480GB NVMe system/cache SSD, while other configurations use 8GB RAM and a 240GB NVMe SSD. Aurender Music

Dedicated Isolated USB Audio Output

Unlike the ACS100's basic USB output, the ACS10 incorporates Aurender's dedicated filtered and electrically isolated USB Audio output. The USB audio circuit is isolated from the noise-generating CPU board and designed specifically for connection to an asynchronous USB DAC. Aurender Music

Supported USB playback reaches:

PCM up to 32-bit/384kHz
DSD128 via DoP
Native DSD512 Aurender Music

The ACS10 contains no internal DAC and no analog outputs.

Full Linear Power Supply

The ACS10 uses a full linear power supply, distinguishing it further from the externally powered ACS100.

A supercapacitor-based UPS provides controlled shutdown protection during unexpected power loss, helping protect the operating system and stored library. Aurender Music

Central Server for Multiple Aurender Systems

The ACS10 can operate as the central library for multiple Aurender players on the same network.

This allows the ACS10 to handle storage, library management and server functions, while another Aurender music server or transport handles playback in the primary listening system. Alternatively, the ACS10 can serve directly as the digital transport through its dedicated USB Audio output. Aurender Music

Three Gigabit Ethernet Ports

Networking includes:

  • 1 × double-isolated Gigabit Ethernet
  • 2 × standard Gigabit Ethernet

The double-isolated port uses two transformer stages for additional electrical-noise filtration. The additional ports allow the ACS10 to function as a network switch for other Ethernet-connected components. Aurender Music

Aurender Conductor & ACS Manager

The ACS10 uses two complementary Aurender applications.

Aurender Conductor handles playback, streaming, queues and normal system operation. ACS Manager provides the deeper file, metadata, ripping and library-management functions unique to Aurender's ACS platform.

Integrated streaming includes TIDAL, Qobuz, Internet Radio, Spotify Connect and AirPlay, and Aurender currently identifies the ACS10 as Roon Ready. Aurender Music

Critical Listening Mode

Aurender's Critical Listening Mode disables the front-panel display, buttons and nonessential background computing processes during playback, reducing unnecessary system activity during critical listening. Aurender Music

Aurender's current specification page lists 28TB as the maximum library capacity, while its descriptive copy still references the standard 2 × 8TB RAID 1 configuration and special-order 2 × 14TB capacity. The specification table is the cleaner current reference for the listing. Aurender Music

ACS10 vs. ACS100

The ACS100 is primarily a compact ripping, storage and library-management solution. The ACS10 adds the features that matter when the content server will also serve as a high-performance digital source: a full linear power supply, TCXO clock, dedicated filtered and isolated USB Audio output, substantially greater internal storage and expanded Ethernet connectivity. Aurender Music

For a large music collection feeding a reference USB DAC—or serving several Aurender systems—the ACS10 is the more complete platform.

Aurender ACS10 at The Grid HiFi

The Aurender ACS10 can consolidate a large digital music collection into one component: rip CDs, maintain metadata, store the library, serve multiple Aurender systems and connect directly to a reference USB DAC.

The Grid HiFi can configure the ACS10 around your storage requirements, RAID strategy, Aurender players, network architecture and DAC, whether it's serving one reference two-channel system or multiple listening rooms.

Order the Aurender ACS10 from The Grid HiFi or call (713) 218-8120 for help specifying the right storage configuration and integrating it into your digital system.
