Overview

Aurender A30 Signature Analog Music Server, DAC & CD Ripper

The Aurender A30 is Aurender's flagship analog-output music server, combining a dual-mono AKM AK4497 DAC, 10TB internal music storage, automatic CD ripping, dedicated headphone amplifier, library management and variable balanced XLR/RCA analog outputs in a single reference digital source. Aurender Music

With variable analog output, the A30 can connect to a conventional preamplifier or integrated amplifier—or operate directly into a power amplifier using its internal volume control.

Dual-Mono AKM AK4497 DAC

The A30 uses two AKM AK4497 DACs in a dual-mono configuration, providing independent conversion architecture for the left and right channels.

Analog playback supports:

  • PCM up to 32-bit/768kHz
  • Native DSD512
  • MQA Full Decoder
  • Optional PCM upsampling to 705.6/768kHz

Upsampling can also be disabled for native-rate playback. Aurender Music

OCXO Precision Clock

Digital timing is governed by an OCXO audio word clock working with FPGA-based processing and a sub-100-femtosecond jitter-reducing clock generator.

This clock architecture is dedicated to controlling digital audio timing before conversion by the dual-mono DAC stage. Aurender Music

Full Linear Power Supply

The A30 uses a fully linear power architecture with separate transformer supplies for critical circuits:

Circuit Power Supply
CPU 1 × 50W
Left DAC 1 × 25W
Right DAC 1 × 25W
Headphone Section 1 × 25W
FPGA 1 × 25W

A supercapacitor UPS provides controlled shutdown during unexpected power loss, protecting the operating system and internal library. Aurender Music

10TB Internal Music Storage

The A30 includes a 10TB 3.5-inch HDD for local music-library storage plus a separate 480GB NVMe SSD dedicated to the operating system and playback cache.

Aurender's caching architecture loads music into solid-state memory for playback rather than continuously reading music directly from the library drive. Aurender Music

Automatic CD Ripping

An integrated TEAC slot-loading optical drive allows CDs to be ripped directly to the A30's internal storage in WAV, FLAC or AIFF.

Aurender incorporates error detection and correction into the ripping process, while the A30 Manager application provides ripping preferences, metadata editing, duplicate checking and file-management functions.

The A30 is also compatible with the optional Acronova Nimbie AutoLoader, enabling unattended batch ripping of up to 100 CDs. Aurender Music

Variable Balanced XLR & RCA Outputs

The A30 provides both:

Balanced XLR analog outputs
Single-ended RCA analog outputs

Output level can be variable, allowing the A30 to perform volume-control duties when connected directly to a compatible power amplifier. It can also be incorporated conventionally into systems using a separate preamplifier or integrated amplifier. Aurender Music

Dedicated Headphone Amplifier

The A30 incorporates a dedicated headphone section with three connection standards:

  • 4-pin XLR balanced
  • 4.4mm balanced
  • 6.35mm / 1/4-inch unbalanced

The headphone circuit receives its own dedicated 25W linear power supply rather than sharing the main DAC or computing supply. Aurender Music

Digital Inputs & USB Audio Output

External digital sources can use the A30's internal DAC through:

  • 1 × RCA coaxial S/PDIF
  • 1 × BNC coaxial S/PDIF
  • 2 × optical/Toslink

The A30 also provides Aurender's dedicated USB Audio output, physically and electrically isolated from the CPU board for connection to an external USB DAC. Aurender Music

USB digital output supports 32-bit/768kHz PCM, native DSD512 and DSD256 via DoP.

Aurender Conductor & A30 Manager

The A30 uses Aurender Conductor for playback, streaming, queue management and normal system operation, while the dedicated A30 Manager application handles CD ripping and local-library administration.

Library-management tools include metadata editing, duplicate checking, Smart Copy, Move and Delete functions. Aurender Music

Integrated network playback includes TIDAL, Qobuz, Internet Radio, Spotify Connect and AirPlay. External USB drives and NAS libraries are also supported. Aurender Music

Aurender A30 at The Grid HiFi

The Aurender A30 consolidates a reference streamer, dual-mono DAC, 10TB music server, CD ripper, preamplifier-level volume control and balanced headphone amplifier into one source component.

Its variable XLR and RCA outputs make it equally suitable for a traditional system with a preamplifier or a streamlined system connected directly to a compatible power amplifier.

The Grid HiFi can integrate the A30 with reference amplification, headphones, network infrastructure and complete high-end two-channel systems.

Order the Aurender A30 from The Grid HiFi or call (713) 218-8120 for system matching and configuration.
