The Best Ideas From Across the Model Collection

The Model Four brings together several familiar KLH design elements.

Its 8-inch woofer comes from the Model Three, while the dedicated 4-inch midrange and 1-inch aluminum dome tweeter are shared with the Model Five.

The wide, shallow cabinet draws inspiration from the Model Seven.

This combination gives the Model Four a true three-way driver configuration without the deep cabinet dimensions typically associated with floorstanding loudspeakers.

For listeners who value natural vocals, clear instrumentation, and a balanced presentation, the dedicated midrange is an important part of the design.

Built for Real Listening Rooms

Not everyone has a dedicated listening room. Most of us have furniture, windows, doorways, and other considerations that make speaker placement a compromise.

KLH designed the Model Four with those realities in mind.

Its cabinet measures just 8.25 inches deep without the included riser, making it the shallowest loudspeaker in the Model Collection.

The sealed acoustic suspension design eliminates the need for a bass-reflex port, giving listeners additional flexibility when positioning the speakers near walls.

A three-position Acoustic Balance Control provides further adjustment for the room's acoustic characteristics.

The included six-degree steel riser positions the drivers at an appropriate listening angle while maintaining the speaker's unmistakably classic appearance.

A True Three-Way Design

Inside the Model Four are three dedicated drivers:

• An 8-inch pulp-paper woofer
• A 4-inch pulp-paper midrange
• A 1-inch aluminum dome tweeter

Each driver handles a specific portion of the frequency spectrum, allowing the system to reproduce bass, vocals, and high frequencies through a carefully integrated crossover network.

The result is a design intended to deliver the scale and clarity of a larger loudspeaker without requiring a larger cabinet.

Classic KLH Styling

The Model Four continues the visual tradition that has made KLH loudspeakers recognizable for generations.

A wide front baffle, genuine wood veneer, removable magnetic grille, and angled steel riser give the speaker a timeless appearance that works beautifully alongside both vintage and contemporary audio equipment.

Available finishes include English Walnut, Black Ash, and White Oak.

The Model Four made its world debut at High End Vienna before reaching American audiences at Audio Advice Live in Raleigh.

It has also received a 2026 TWICE VIP Award in the In-Room Speakers category.
