Focal Aria Evo X N°1 Bookshelf Loudspeakers

The Focal Aria Evo X N°1 is a compact two-way bookshelf loudspeaker that brings some of Focal's most important technologies into a speaker that works beautifully in smaller listening rooms, offices, living rooms, and high-quality two-channel systems.

At just over 15 inches tall, the N°1 combines Focal's signature 6.5-inch Flax cone mid/bass driver with its newer TAM aluminum/magnesium tweeter.

The result is exactly what we want from a compact Focal: natural midrange, clean detail, excellent imaging, and enough dynamics to make it a serious music speaker rather than simply a small-room solution.

Focal Flax Cone

The 6.5-inch mid/bass driver uses Focal's exclusive Flax sandwich cone technology, made with French flax fiber positioned between two thin layers of fiberglass.

It's an unusual material, but there's a reason Focal uses it.

Flax provides an excellent combination of light weight, rigidity, and damping, allowing the driver to respond quickly while maintaining a natural, uncolored character.

The Aria Evo X N°1 also incorporates Focal's TMD — Tuned Mass Damper — suspension, designed to better control the movement of the driver and reduce unwanted resonance through the critical midrange frequencies.

TAM Aluminum/Magnesium Tweeter

High frequencies are handled by Focal's 1-inch TAM inverted-dome tweeter.

The tweeter uses an aluminum/magnesium "M"-shaped dome designed for increased rigidity and wide dispersion.

A decompression chamber behind the tweeter helps control the rear wave and reduce distortion.

The result is detailed, smooth high-frequency reproduction with a broad listening area rather than requiring you to stay locked into one exact position.

Compact Size, Serious HiFi

The Aria Evo X N°1 measures just 15.37 inches tall, making it easy to integrate into spaces where a larger floorstanding loudspeaker doesn't make sense.

Its bass-reflex design reaches down to 55Hz ±3dB, with usable extension to 47Hz.

For smaller and medium-size rooms, that can be more than enough for a very satisfying two-channel system.

For listeners who want deeper low-frequency extension, we can also properly integrate a subwoofer while maintaining the speed and character of the Aria Evo X N°1.

Designed for Proper Stands

The Aria Evo X N°1 can be placed on furniture, but if you're building a dedicated music system, we recommend using Focal's matching Aria S900 stands.

Proper stands put the tweeters at the correct listening height, provide a stable foundation, and allow the speakers to be positioned properly in the room.

With a speaker this capable of precise imaging, placement matters.
