Thirty Years of Cable Development in One Audiophile Power Cord

The Synergistic Research SR30 AC Power Cable combines 12 AWG oxygen-free copper conductors, graphene-based UEF Matrix Shielding and the company's flagship-derived SRX High Voltage Conditioning process. Created to mark three decades of Synergistic Research cable development, the SR30 brings technologies from its Atmosphere SX and SRX ranges into an accessible high-performance power cord.

Designed for use with compatible power amplifiers, integrated amplifiers, DACs, preamplifiers and music servers, the SR30 features three 12 AWG copper conductors insulated with EPDM dielectric material. Synergistic Research pairs this construction with its C07 pure-copper wall plug and G07 Gold IEC connector.

Unlike conventional power cords with a fixed design, the SR30 includes interchangeable Gold and Purple Carbon Tuning Discs. These accessories let listeners experiment with the manufacturer's intended tonal and spatial presentations or use the cable without either disc.

12 AWG Copper Conductors and Graphene UEF Shielding

The SR30 uses three 12 AWG SR oxygen-free copper conductors, providing a heavy-gauge power connection for a broad range of compatible audio components. EPDM insulation surrounds the conductors, while the cable's connectors receive Synergistic Research's proprietary graphene-based UEF Matrix treatment.

Originally developed for the company's Atmosphere SX and SRX cable ranges, UEF Matrix technology is intended to manage unwanted electromagnetic interference. Synergistic Research associates the treatment with a lower perceived noise floor, greater low-level detail and a more natural tonal presentation.

The cable uses a Synergistic Research C07 pure-copper wall connector and G07 Gold 15A IEC equipment connector. Each SR30 is assembled with 4% silver solder at the company's California facility.

SRX Long Duration High Voltage Conditioning

Every SR30 AC power cable undergoes the proprietary SRX Long Duration High Voltage Conditioning process developed for Synergistic Research's flagship cable series.

Following assembly, the manufacturer applies high-voltage treatment to the completed cable and its connections, using extended frequency sweeps and controlled pulse patterns. Synergistic Research describes this process as part of its approach to conductor and connector conditioning, attributing improvements in perceived resolution, tonal accuracy and soundstage presentation to the treatment.

This factory process is included in the SR30 rather than reserved exclusively for the company's more elaborate reference cables.

Gold and Purple Carbon Tuning Discs

The SR30 includes one Gold and one Purple Carbon Tuning Disc, giving owners a choice of three configurations.

Synergistic Research describes the Gold disc as emphasizing harmonic richness, warmth and a fluid musical presentation. Purple is intended to emphasize perceived clarity, high-frequency extension and soundstage openness. The cable can also be used without either disc.

Each carbon-fiber disc receives a different proprietary UEF treatment and can be positioned on the cable or at another suitable location in the audio system. The discs provide a way to experiment with system voicing without replacing the power cord.
