The amplifier delivers 125 watts per channel into 8 ohms and nearly doubles that output into 4 ohms. Mark Levinson also specifies stable operation down to 2 ohms.

The Nº 5802 is designed specifically for digital audio sources. Its connections include:

• Two coaxial S/PDIF inputs

This selection allows you to connect multiple compatible digital components without adding a separate DAC or preamplifier.

A CD transport, dedicated music streamer, computer, and television with a compatible optical output can all become part of the same system.

Important distinction: Unlike the Nº 5805, the Nº 5802 does not include analog line-level inputs or a phono stage. A conventional turntable cannot be connected directly unless an external phono stage and analog-to-digital conversion solution are used.
