The AudioQuest PowerQuest TV3 is a compact, mountable power conditioner designed specifically for TVs, projectors, soundbars, receivers, streaming devices, gaming systems, and other space-conscious A/V installations. Its metal chassis measures just 10" wide × 6.125" high × 1.75" deep, allowing it to be concealed behind a display, installed in a backbox, mounted to a wall, or secured beneath furniture.

Despite its small size, the TV3 incorporates technology from AudioQuest's larger PowerQuest products, including Linear Noise-Dissipation, Non-Sacrificial Surge Suppression, Micro-Spike Protection, Catastrophic Protection, and Extreme-Voltage Shutdown.

Designed to Disappear Behind the System

The TV3 fills a particularly useful role in the PowerQuest lineup. Rather than requiring shelf or rack space, AudioQuest designed it to be installed close to the equipment it protects.

It can be mounted behind a wall-mounted TV, behind or near a projector, inside an appropriate backbox, beneath a desk or entertainment unit, or anywhere a compact three-outlet power solution is needed. The fixed mounting points, retention hardware, and low-profile AC plug make it especially useful for professional A/V installations.

1 High-Current + 2 Linear-Filtered Outlets

The three outlets aren't treated identically.

The High-Current outlet is intended for variable-current components such as a soundbar or receiver, while the two Linear-Filtered outlets provide AudioQuest's noise reduction for source components such as a television, projector, Apple TV, or other streaming device.

This makes the TV3 particularly well suited to a simple three-component video system—for example:

Linear Noise-Dissipation

AudioQuest's Linear Noise-Dissipation technology provides consistent filtering across a broad frequency range rather than simply targeting a narrow band of AC noise.

The TV3 is specified for greater than 22dB of noise reduction from 30kHz to 1GHz, addressing high-frequency noise that can enter an A/V system through the AC power line.

Non-Sacrificial Protection

One of the TV3's most important advantages over a conventional surge strip is its Non-Sacrificial Surge Suppression.

AudioQuest specifies the TV3 to withstand multiple transient surges and spikes of up to 6000 volts or 3000 amps without damage. AudioQuest notes that these figures represent the maximum surge that can typically make it through a building's electrical panel.

Extreme-Voltage Shutdown adds another layer of protection. If incoming voltage reaches 140VAC, the TV3 opens its main power relay in less than 0.25 seconds. Once voltage returns to a safe range, the unit automatically resets.

PQ-415 Power Cable Included

Unlike many compact surge protectors, the TV3 includes a detachable 36-inch AudioQuest PQ-415 power cable.

The PQ-415 uses Semi-Solid Concentric, Direction-Controlled Long-Grain Copper (LGC) conductors and incorporates a flat-to-wall AC plug to make installation easier in tight spaces.
