Solid Perfect-Surface Silver Conductors

WEL Signature uses AudioQuest's highest-grade conductor material: solid Perfect-Surface Silver (PSS).

Unlike silver-plated copper cables, WEL Signature uses solid silver signal conductors. AudioQuest's Perfect-Surface Technology is designed to minimize surface irregularities and the effects of conductor grain boundaries.

The solid-conductor design also eliminates electrical and magnetic interactions between individual strands, which AudioQuest identifies as a source of distortion in conventional stranded cables.

AudioQuest selected PSS to minimize conductor-related distortion and maximize linear RF Noise-Dissipation.

This construction is particularly relevant to phono applications, where a cartridge produces an extremely low-level electrical signal that must be amplified substantially before reaching the loudspeakers.

WEL Signature features FEP Air-Tube insulation around its positive conductors.

AudioQuest's Air-Tube construction creates minimal physical contact between the positive conductors and the FEP material.

The negative conductors use a deliberately different insulation arrangement, reflecting AudioQuest's approach to optimizing each conductor according to its electrical function.

Direction-Controlled Conductors

All internal conductors in WEL Signature are Direction-Controlled.

AudioQuest identifies a directional grain structure created during the metal-drawing process and controls conductor orientation as part of its RF Noise-Dissipation strategy.
